I haven't been to downtown Vegas in many years, but I'm planning to go on my upcoming trip. Can I ask for suggestions on dining deals that are around the Fremont Street Experience? I'm not looking for dollar tacos or anything that cheap, but rather a really good bang for my buck. For example, last time I was downtown, Tony Roma's had a $9.99 steak and lobster tail dinner (I told you it was a long time ago!)

    Thanks in advance!

The $9.99 prime rib at the Marketplace Cafe in the Cal is great.

Comes with dessert. Ice cream with cherries in it. Cheap version of cherries jubilee but it's huge and tastes pretty good.....

As for cheap but not quite Sassy Sally's/Mermaids $.99 cheap; Binion's used to have a lunch counter that had good stew in-a-cup with cornbread for a couple of bucks, etc. but that has been converted over the last few years to the 'new' version of the old downstairs coffee shop and the deals are pretty much gone. At the old coffee shop, I used to order the Binion's Natural breakfast and opt for the ham (steak) which covered the plate! I believe it included coffee for like $3.95 or so..

the D Grill at the D
    S+O at Downtown Grand

Eaten all three. All very good.

In addition to dessert and the main course the special also includes an all you can eat salad bar or soup. IMHO this is a great deal because it is a complete meal for $9.99. Most of the other $9.99 prime rib meals do not include a salad bar and dessert.

HHAGG at the Plaza is also great for 2 people, their breakfasts are big enough for 2 people to eat so usually good if you want to split a meal.

Unfortunately Prime Rib at 4Q is now $11.99 with a players card and $13.99 without. Also it doesn't come with the gumbo anymore, it's $0.99 extra. No longer the bargain it once was.

Don't eat at the S+O unless you want the slowest service this side of the Mississippi.

As stated before the best DT values for dinner is the $9.99 prime rib special at the Cal for low-end and the $49.99 3 course prix-fixe dinner at Vic & Anthony's at the Golden Nugget high-end. I will be partaking in both in about a week.

If you like garlic, the 777 Brew Pub at MSS has some awesome Garlic Fries. We also like there sushi and wings. But we are hooked on the fries (it's one of those things we can't find at home.)

The BBQ joint in the back of Binion's has some decent ribs.

As others have mentioned the Prime Rib at the Cal is good.

Dupar's in GG has good food too. My wife and I split the chicken fried chicken, it's good and comes with roasted veggies. I just wish they hadn't upped the price on the shrimp cocktail.

Edit to add, the Redwood Bar and Grill at the Cal is nice. They have a steak special for around $25 (I hope they still have it).

Thanks for the info on QQQQ. Guess I'll have to drive to Silver Sevens. I've had theirs and posted pictures in one of my TRs.

Last trip I enjoyed the sliders and hostess (visuals) in her slinky, small, extremely tight black dress. Maybe next time I'll try the lettuce wraps, plus visuals
