Anyone with an upcoming trip on Southwest Airlines- you might want to check the rates again today. I had been watching the rates for weeks and hadn't seen more than $5-10 change- so I purchased a week or so ago for September. Then I check today, and the rates were down $50 each of our Roundtrip tickets-- so I made the change and have $100 in credit for future trip!

No luck from OKC - LAS. Thanks for the heads up though!

No luck for me either DAL-LAS. I'm not really surprised though because for my two trips, some of it is booked for $63-104. I can't expect them to drop much more.

I checked rates for my flights a couple of days ago and I was lucky that prices dropped on one of my legs. Plus I now have a direct flight flying from vegas. Initially I had a flight that had a stopover in southern cali but now I have a direct flight back to san fran and it is cheaper than the initial stopover flight so I can use that credit for my san fran to vegas leg. I haven't booked the san fran to vegas leg yet, I'm hoping that prices drop for that leg as it is more than double the price as the vegas to san fran leg, plus looks like I have to stop off in southern cali before going back up to vegas. I'm travelling in 3 1/2 weeks so hope the prices drop real soon. Getting a little antsy but when I check 8 passengers the prices aren't changing so hopefully there are still seats available.

Got my Sept trip during SW super sale. $47 each way from SAC. No way that is ever going to be cheaper.

Nor from TUL - LAS. The cheapest I've ever seen flights to Vegas from Tulsa have been $168 each way. But with Allegiant now flying to Vegas, you can get those as low as $69 each way.

One time we found SW from OKC - Las for $120 each way... I hadn't even planned to go but that savings made me book the flights. I proceeded to lose a few thousand on that savings...

Have you flown allegiant? If so, how was the experience? Direct flights?

The bigger SWA sales for crappy fare markets seem to be the "mileage sales", ime. I think it's one of the few times STL has gone below $180/leg this year. We booked Frontier for $59/leg instead. Sharing one $20/leg checked suitcase. Cheapest we got SWA from STL was like $110/leg, 10 days before the flight.

Before moving to OK, I flew to LAS from Des Moines a half dozen times or more without any major issues. But I know several others who've had issues with Allegiant (an unscheduled landing to refuel and a canceled flight that led to losing a Vegas-day) too. Personally, I'd take it for a decent price but right now they only fly Friday and Mondays from Tulsa.

And yes, all direct flights on Allegiant.

We usually fly out of Pittsburgh, but this trip happened to check Cleveland and it was $103 each way non stop, early flight going and late flight coming back. It is a Tuesday flight, but my schedule is flexible so I can do a Tues to Tues trip.

I don't think mine will get any better $218 R/T from BWI.

I have a credit that's expiring in May and I thought I read on here somewhere that there was a way of extending it for another year. Does anyone know how to do this or was I dreaming when I read this?
