MyVegas Red Rock BOGO Dinner Buffet Reward - Using it for lunch or breakfast?

I'm taking my son and his 2 buddies to Vegas again in October and they want to spend most of the day at Red Rock Canyon (we are staying at the Orleans, my son's fave). I wanted to get (2) of the 2 free breakfast or lunch buffet rewards, as we plan on eating breakfast before I drop them at Red Rock. However, even tho I check multiple times daily, that reward is always sold out.

The BOGO dinner buffet reward is usually in stock and I was wondering if anyone had actually used that reward for breakfast or lunch instead of dinner. One free dinner actually "costs" RR more than one free breakfast, so I was wondering if they have honored it in the past for other meals?

I still have 2 months before our trip and will keep checking. I have a mountain of LP's to spend but damn it's hard to spend them now! And the RR buffet is so inexpensive to begin with, I've kind of been questioning how much time I'm spending checking to see if that reward is available or not.

Appreciate responses with actual experience doing this, greatly appreciated.

Can't answer your question, but I had been waiting for that reward for MONTHS and finally just got it on Monday (right at 3pm Eastern) . Don't give up!

 

Diane, have you looked at purchasing the Las Vegas Advisor and American Casino Guide? They both have Red Rock buffet coupons in them, good for any meal...however, they can only be used Sunday through Thursday.

 

Great idea! I haven't bought the ACG this year (I usually do) and didn't realize they had RR coupons. I will be checking that out! And teehuge, congrats on snagging one, damn it takes a lot of time checking for those dang things! I have over 800,000 LPs, and have spent probably 2 million over the years. Once I spend these 800k I think I'm probably done. I'm ok with the reward value getting smaller, but when it takes a ton of time to redeem what I've earned, that's where I draw the line!
