    My Trip Report

Not really a trip report, but I visited a local casino last weekend (Ho-Chunk in Baraboo, WI) and got on a mini heater on a craps table.

I was down about $450 from previous sessions, and bought in for $300. The guy to the left of me was shooting, so I gave him plenty of room and waited for a new come-out to jump in. The table was packed (they always are up there), but the action was choppy, so the dice moved around pretty quickly. I had about $175 left when the dice came to me. They offer the all-tall-small bonus bet, so I put $2 on each. My first roll was boxcars, so got that one out of the way quickly. I proceeded to get hot and was hitting numbers left and right. Before long, I covered the all tall (8-12) for a $68 payout. Most of the players play the A-T-S, so everyone was pretty happy at that point. I continued hammering the numbers, and had all of the small numbers covered except for the 2 (aces). I threw the dice 5 more times and then had a feeling, so I threw $5 on aces. BANG! Nailed it! The table erupted! So, on that one throw of the dice, I collected $145 on the aces, $68 on the "small" numbers, and $348 on the "all" - $561 in the rack. I threw a couple more numbers before finally sevening-out. I didn't time it, but I'd guess I rolled for about 30 minutes.

I colored up just over $1600, so I was $1150 to the good afterwards. Made about $1425 on my roll (plus probably about $50 in tokes). Not bad, not bad at all.

I considered heading back home after that, but being somewhat degenerate, I decided to buy into $5 minimum ultimate texas hold'em for $200. After about twenty minutes, I was doing pretty well, having hit a few straights, flushes and full-houses. Then I caught a straight flush (10s-Js in the blind, 8s-9s-Qs on the board ) which paid me $250 on the blind (50-to-1) and $200 on the trips bet (40-to-1), plus $25 for the ante and play bets. After that $475 payout I colored up for $860, for another $660 profit. Then I bolted for the door.

$1810 win! Thank you Ho-Chunk tribe!

Ha! The place is definitely full of Chunky Ho's, but it's really the name of a native American tribe whose original territory was located in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa. They also run a smaller casino in Madison, WI that has only slots, bingo, and a poker room with those electronic tables like they have at the Plaza. The main casino in Baraboo (near the Wisconsin Dells) isn't bad - two craps tables, lots of 3:2 BJ, roulette, baccarat, most of the carnival games, tons of slots, live poker, and bingo (but no VP or sports book). The attached hotel is "serviceable".

No way. My trip to Wisconsin dells seems even more incomplete now. We cut out the casino to beat that horrible snow storm on the super bowl. :(

    Nice win yoyo!
