I been recieving offers from Wynn for years. I've visited there exactly twice. Once when it opened and played some slots for an hour. Second time was Garth Brooks' opening night. Barely gambled but had dinner at SW Steakhouse. I've been receiving offers ever since.

I am thinking of taking them up on it. Two comped nights and some free play. Anything I should know about with this offer?

    Thanks

I think it is a generic offer they send to anyone with a Red Card.
I get them 2-3 times a year for 3 nights and have not stayed there since 2011.

I only seem to get the special room rates, no comp room or free play and I stay there exclusively and give the casino all my money while I'm there. Damn I'm getting shafted!! I want on that list!
From what I've learned Wynn is stingy with its host-offered comps unless your theo is significant.
You must have gambled quite a bit on that last trip there??
This looks like a marketing offer similar to my cheap room deal.

Ditto for me. Last stayed in 2011 and still getting about 3 offers per year - 2 nights comp with $125 free play

Great place to stay, great restaurants - just cannot win anything on slots at Wynn or Encore the 3 times we stayed there - played about 5-6 hours each day - so we stay and play at other properties where we can win...

Actually that is why I stopped staying there.
I got hammered with a significant 5 figure loss and the host snickered at me when I asked for some F+B at checkout.
Great hotel! Love the rooms, pool, restaurants and casino .
Just did not get any bang for my play from casino marketing.

Ouch...that's rough. I mean if they don't think you met their criteria its one thing. But to get a condescending snicker? I'd be pissed.

I too received this fishing offer and took them up on it back in Sept. I haven't received anything since then other than deeply discounted room rates,

Hmmm, now I'm rethinking this lol. I know with offers booked thru a host they can and rescind comps if you don't gamble enough. I'm going for six nights, and will not be gambling much the first several while we spend two nights at Wynn. It's pool time and fine dining until our group gets in and I move over to Cosmo. Has Wynn ever rescinded free rooms at check out if offered via marketing instead of a host?

Btw, we did not gamble big at all when we visited. If we ran thru several hundred dollars on slots that would be a lot. So to keep getting this offer every several months is strange. I know I will drop off their radar after one stay there.

Agreed - Take advantage of the comp when you get it, its a lovely property to enjoy for free, even if you don't ever get the comp again. I haven't heard anything about rescinding comps, but what you have is a marketing offer so I think you are safe, but read the fine print on the offer just in case.

I highly doubt that they'd rescind the offer and make you pay upon checkout. I have heard stories of this at other properties in the past but they were few and far between. The fine print will mention it if I recall correctly but I'd imagine you'll be ok and won't have any issues. When I took them up on the offer last Sept I had not spent a dime with them since early 2010. I went and enjoyed a couple days there but on the final day I ended up having to cut my trip short and fly back to PA because of an illness in the family. When I checked out nothing was mentioned other than what I owed for my room charges.

Damn.....I've dropped a few G's each trip over the years, and I NEVER got any free-night offers, not even one. Only some mediocre discounted rates......

Awesome property though, would probably pay to stay there next time if wife is with me.

I'm the same way. I have a cousin who gambled maybe a $100 there once and they sent him 3 free nights and $600 in free play.

I wouldn't worry about them rescinding the offer since it is not thru a host. Worse 1% case scenario, you have to pay a discounted rate for a hotel that would go for $500 in other major US cities. Worth it!
