The Flamingo - rooms you enjoyed there?

I'm headed to the Flamingo in early June with 4 other guys. I booked the 2 queen mini suite (non-smoking). They advertise these as 550 sq ft so I figured this would most likely be enough room for us. Do you guys have any experience with these rooms? Are they renovated? Are they spacious enough for 5 guys? Is there a separate living room? How are they spaced out? This is a bachelor party so I want to ensure the bachelor has a great time and isn't bothered by an old dingy room. I'd be willing to pay extra if you guys have advice on a different room I should go with? Are there other better suites I should look into that you guys know are renovated and nice?

If you remember a suite you stayed in at the Flamingo please let me know the room number and the type of room. I will try to request it at check in.

You might want to consider the Metropolitan Suite. 1400 to 1600 square feet. It has 1 king bed in bedroom 1 and, 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. Separate living area with a couch, dining table and bar area. You can just look on youtube to see it as there are a number of videos showing it.

 

I had a parlor suite I think it was called which isn't listed on the flamingo website. It is a 2 bedroom suite that has a very large living area with a full sized fridge. Not renovated and really dumpy and dirty. The carpet looks like it hadn't been washed in years as well as the couches. That said there is lots of room and could easily fit 10-15 people hanging out in the living room

You don't happen to remember the tower/floor/room number do you? I'd like to use for this at the front desk if possible. I'm a platinum member at CET properties so I'm hoping that will work in my favor as far as getting upgraded.. Thank you for your help

 

I'm also booked in the fab 2 queen mini suite starting tomorrow. We also had 5 people but one cancelled at the last minute so I'm not as worried now about all fitting in the room. I'm diamond and the room was comped for the whole week I'm hoping that we can get upgraded to the go mini suite but I'm not sure if that comes in the 2 bed setup or just the king which is all I see listed online but you never know. Keep in mind that Caesar's changed their resort fee policy and they now charge the $25 a night fee to platinum members, they used to waive the fee for platinum and above. I was platinum for the first time again the month of April, first time in about 4 years and I was upset that I was now going to get charged, but luckily they were running some promo I didn't even know about Jan-Mar where you got a 50% bonus on your tier credits earned during that period and it put me over the top to diamond...whew, they also gave me 1,000 bonus tier points a few weeks ago just for replying to an email so you may want to check your current point balance you might have a pleasant surprise like I did. Also if you're platinum you could be really close to getting to Diamond during your stay and then they won't charge you the fee if you get it before you check out. Tons of perks if you hit diamond.

As for rooms, I have heard good things about the Linq cabana rooms, they look expensive, like $300+ per night but they include a food and beverage credit you can use in your cabana that is literally outside your bedroom door. Maybe you can get a rollaway bed or splurge for 2 rooms, like a regular room which would likely be free, plus the cabana room. That would be a fun bachelor party

 

For 5 people, I would definitely get a 2 bedroom suite, or at least a one bedroom suite with a connector.

 

I've seen the $200 food and beverage credit. (But the rooms look like they are more than $300 per night.

Here's my other thought on the Linq Cabana room: why use (or need) the $200 credit? You could have all the drinks you want in your room and mix them, take them onto you cabana/patio?

 

How was the 2 queen mini suite at the Flamingo? I have that booked for this coming Monday!

When I checked in at the Diamond check in, the counter person and the casino host both really tried to talk me out of the Fab mini suite. They said that everyone they have assigned to those rooms have come back to complain. They are all in the non renovated floors with the wavy carpets and musty smelling rooms. They had some Go King Mini suites they said they could put me in, but I had 4 people with me so that was a no go. They put me in a Go Room instead and said if we still found that we needed more room they would switch me back to the mini suite. We ended up being happy with the room they gave us. The last 2 times I stayed in a Go Room with 2 queens it only had a chair for extra seating. This room had a desk chair between the window and the bed as well as a daybed/sofa which would have been big enough for a 5th guest to sleep on.

Also note worthy the casino host offered to do upgrades to the much nicer and larger suites, I don't remember the details but she said she would go as low as additional $100 a night (my room was comped for all 6 nights) for the largest suite they had available at the time but it still just had 2 beds so I wasn't willing to part with $600 of my gambling $$. We were happy with the room we got. We didn't spend much time there anyway.

 

Thanks for the update. When I called to book she wanted to put us in a GO room until I asked her about the 'studio' also known as the Fab Mini Suite.

Guess I'll have to call and request the GO room.

 

Thank you for your response! Maybe ill try the $20 trick and see if that could get me a more updated mini suite. We have 3 guys going so a go king mini suite with pull out would work. I'm only gold so I won't get it offered to me free most likely.

 

Just a heads up, I asked them if the "pull out couch" mean it was a bed, and they said it was not. They said it was just a couch. I'm not certain what the difference between a "pull out couch" and a "couch" is...
