Table Games Low Minimum Craps

Looking for the cheapest craps games in Vegas, including promotional times. Don't really care about location. Thanks!

Fremont has $3 craps 24/7. I think there's another place that has that as well, but can't remember right off.

 

Jokers Wild has $1 minimum on craps and 10X odds all the time. It's located on Boulder Hwy in Henderson.

Does anyone know if Fremont has $0.50 chips for correct payments on placing the 6 and 8?

Also have played $3 at Binions in the morning and use to see quite often $3 craps at El Cortez.

Ellis Island also has $3 craps.

 

Jokers seems to have the dice pit going on weekend afternoons, when you pretty much have the place to yourself except for the dice pit, where several people with similar interests are crowded around and having a good time. Probably other times too but that is the only time I have been there, and it was active both times. Put your dollar on the pass line or come bar and press as hard as you can. Also the coffee shop is pretty good, and you can often get a comp by signing up for their slot club which is separate from Bconnected even though it is owned by Boyd. $1 craps with 10x odds is a game so fair that you shouldn't expect much if any comp credit for it, although the pit boss does rate you and I've received decent postcard offers with slot play and food credit, considering how low my theoretical loss was.

Also, If you aren't used to feeling like a george, this is a good place to tip generously and perhaps gratuitously. The croupiers are a little green but they are working hard to learn for what I'm sure is not much money and often show a lot of spirit, and you get to play for almost free, so why not share the love.

Yep, they have bright pink $.50 chips. Only down side is they're 2x odds max.

 

The Pink chips is one way to figure out which table is the 3$ table. Many nights I've seen where all the tables had the $5 min placard but $3 is allowed on one of the tables. The table with the Pink chips.

 

Fremont get rid of the quarter chips? They used to let you buy the 4/10 for $5 and paid the .25 vig with grey chips.

I thought Fremont also had the quarter chips. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly.

 

I was just there a couple of weeks ago at Freemont and they did not have 50 cent chips on the $3 table.
maybe its only certain hours-I know a few years ago Golden Gate did during the day, but not at night

 

Hmmm, I played at the fremont in March and I did see the pink chips on the $3 tables and got some whenever I won that amount.

 

I don't remember seeing any $.25/grey chips on the table when I was there in March. But, I wasn't really paying attention to that. I always play a min of $5, even if the limit is lower. What killed me is it's always 2x odds. I walked away up about $500, would have been closer to $1000 if they had higher odds. But, I wasn't turning it down.

 

Cheapass Craps

It used to be the El Dorado on Water Street in Henderson. But how can the casino justify a $1.00 game when they have to pay the dealers at least minimum wage and bennies? I can tell you locals don't tip much.

They used to have drink service that was second to none (at least for me) because the waitress will cater to the player that tips the best. That's me! I may get cheap in other areas but tipping ain't one of them.

I've seen more green and black chips there that the Bellgio any day. It was just a fun place to play.

So, they moved that very table over to the Joker's Wild. Now I've heard it's not $2 any more for sure when it'd crowded but they do use this place to break in green dealers, or at least they used to.

Best to give them a quick call and ask what up? The pit bosses are more than friendly until they throw you out for being too drunk and belligerent. Oh yeah, been there done that.

 

All of this $3.00 craps talk is making me remember the Binion's Horseshoe of years ago.

When I first started visiting Las Vegas in the late '70's and until "the Old Man" (Benny) died, I recall that they'd pretty much let you make a line bet of anywhere from 50-cents to $10,000.00 on any of their crap tables at any time and they just didn't give a shit! Man, those tables were jamb up 24/7 with low and high rollers alike, all playing shoulder to shoulder! And as memory serves, the legend was that Binion's Horseshoe was the most profitable casino per square foot of any joint in town.

What really stands out in my memory is that they, of course, would let you place the 6 & 8 for $3.00 and pay you with three white check and a $.50 piece. The dealers all had rolls of half-dollar coins next to them in the bank to pay off the 50-cent bets. The hilarious thing was that, on these tables, they'd be paying off black $100.00 checks like they were throwing confetti around, but God help the player who'd ever accumulate more than one 50-cent piece!

Every time you'd win a $3.00 6 or 8 bet, the dealer would demand that you return the one, lonely, half-dollar in your rack and he'd pay you with four $1.00 checks. I swear they watched those coins like they were gold bullion. And they'd never let you get more than one!

Come to think of it, I guess that's part of how Ted was able to accumulate all of that silver!! An obvious family trait.
