    I'm pessimistic about this.
How much do you think these people will get tipped
( total percentage ) thru the course of a day ?
    Why am I pessimistic ?
Who eats Mickey D ?....and why ?
    Is this demographic inclined to tip 20% ?..15% ?....10% ?....5% ?
Sorry, not much .....from what I've seen........and calling
    for a delivery ain't gonna change it.:rolleyes2:
I think it would better safer + more prosperous BEHIND the counter.

Perhaps it's because I live in Manhattan, but it is expected to tip any food delivery person at least $2-3. I will tip more if the weather is terrible. Those delivery people work their asses off for little pay.

Also, who would risk not tipping and have the delivery person spit in your food next time lol.

Absolutely... but many are outraged by the concept of tipping, go figure. That said, I wasn't aware McDonald's was offering this service? Could be piloted in some areas. I have read about their drop in business of late.

I tip, but I certainly have never tipped at a Mickey D restaurant. You people do?

This is about McD's delivery. Of course you tip, just like any food delivery.

Its not exactly new. Certain McD's in the city have done delivery in the past.

And when I lived in Singapore it was common there as well, you could just order online 24/7.

The only time we order delivery at home is during a snowstorm. We tip the driver well.

I was a delivery driver for Domino's Pizza years ago when they had the 30minutes for it's free guarantee. Fun times.

I never knew McD's had a deliver service. I rarely eat their food, so I would never use it.

I've never heard of McDonalds delivering.

I think I've eaten at Mickey D's once in the past 10 years, in Chicago, it was there, I was very hungry and in a rush at the time.

For pizza and other delivery people, yes, I always tip.

Of all places, the McDonald's in College Station Texas used to deliver. Seems like a brilliant idea in a college town.

When I was in college in Baton Rouge there was a liquor store that delivered. It's rare to have that in the US.

We have a liquor store that will deliver, but there is a minimum. Not sure what it is, but they are not going to run over one bottle of booze.

Yep. It's all about the service - not which restaurant is delivering. Service is service and the tip is based upon it.

If you're poor you should walk to McDs so as not to tip, which is customary for delivered food. Actually, if you're poor a bag of rice, some greens and the like go a very long way toward the good nutrition that is lacking in American fast food crap.
