Aria's Cafe

Aria seems pretty proud of the food at their cafe with the prices they are charging. Does anybody feel the food there is worth those high prices for a cafe?

Are there better choices for breakfast while staying at Aria than their cafe?

 

I have been a couple of times. I think it is way overpriced and the service was not very good either. We much preferred walking over to Bellagio to their cafe. I never had anything but breakfast. Each time they were spot on. If you go, I hope you enjoy it.

 

Way overpriced and the food is bland at best. The Jean-Philippe Patisserie is much better but not a sit-down restaurant (though there are seats you can sit at after getting your food at the counter).

 

Aria has a lot of good restaurants but stay away from the cafe and buffet, the rest of their lineup is pretty solid imo. The Henry(Cosmo) or Mon Ami Gabi (Paris) are two solid options if you don't mind a 10 minute walk.

It's fine but not great. Bellagio's cafe, on the other hand, is fantastic, and The Henry next door at Cosmopolitan is pretty good too.

On the other hand, the nice thing about Aria is that there are plenty of very good places to eat that are open from the late morning onward. The only time I'd really find myself needing to go to Aria Cafe is either (1) if it's after 2am (when the Five50 slice counter and Lemongrass close), in which case I'm probably in no state to care about the quality of food, or (2) in the morning for breakfast, and their breakfast is very decent. By 11:30am you've got Five50, Lemongrass, Julian Serrano, Javier's, and Todd English PUB all open.

 

Does Breezes out by the pool offer a decent breakfast or lunch option? At both Bellagio and the Mirage you can get a good breakfast or lunch at their poolside restaurants which we do when we go to their pools.

 

I think Breezes closed a couple years ago.
The cw will serve food from the limited lunch menu.

 

I agree the Aria Cafe is pretty weak considering the hotel its in. They give you pretty huge portions of food but quality is about what you get at an average diner.

As far as your question about breakfast my favorite at Aria is actually just take out from Jean Phillipe. Either a crepe or an omelette, both of which they make great. But it's not a sit down restaurant. Just a cafe with take out and some tables.

 

I apparently am alone on this but I thought the Aria Café was pretty good, at least for breakfast. I've eaten at the Bellagio Café and thought they were pretty interchangeable. Aria had a much shorter wait as well.

 

I have eaten at the Aria cafe for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Personally I like their food a lot. Yes a bit pricey but on par with strip standards. I also enjoyed their contemporary and open air decor.

 

I run a small restaurant in a bar, and I make a much better burger for $5 than I got at Aria - was very disappointed, and was quite expensive. The service was very good, though.

 

I think I will skip Aria Cafe there are too many other good choices to pick from and no need to overpay for mediocre food. For example:

Breakfast - Mon Ami, Grand Luxe, Bellagio Cafe
Lunch - Lemongrass, Julian Seranno's, Javier's

 

I like your choices for lunch.
I have eaten breakfast at Aria Café 20+ times.
I find it on par with most other hotel casino cafes including Bellagio.
It is expensive just like all the others but it is not worth it to me to make the trek to Grande Luxe,Mon Ami or any others for eggs or waffles.

 

Cafe Bellagio has always been very good.

 

Love the ARIA Café. Nothing beats the atmosphere in the mornings with the airport windows.

 

I have never had a bad meal at the Aria cafe. Always too much food and good. Food on a scale of one to ten IMO is a solid 8 all around. Yes the service for the most part sucks when it is busy but I let the server know I need them to be on top of it and that usually works. I tip more for that. I think it is expensive but aren't all the cafe's/restaurants on the strip? Mine is comped anyway. Also Amgen staying at the Aria it is easy for me. Rather go to mon ami, or another destination place but too much hassle so end up there maybe 3-times during a 4 day trip mostly for breakfast or a late night snack/second dinner.

 

I've been there once and went because we had a food credit but wouldn't eat there if I had to pay for it. I prefer to just get a quick bite at Jean Philippe, their prosciutto panini is a great way to start the day!

 

The breakfast is on par with Bellagio's cafe.

 

I've only been to the Aria Café once. I agree with the majority--it's only so-so. My wife had some sort of "healthy" egg scramble and it wasn't good. I had eggs benedict (I think) and that was good, but nothing special. I do like the look of the (huge) space--the airport windows, the general feel of the place, etc.

When we stay at Aria, our standard breakfast is me taking the elevator down to Jean-Philippe Patisserie to get coffee, a Danish for me and a yogurt parfait for my wife, which I then take up to the room. For some inexplicable reason, I don't mind paying the equally inflated prices for coffee and pastries at JPP. (Well, it is good coffee, and they are tasty pastries...)
