You think there will be any options off the strip/Downtown for viewing parties?

Of course. All the big bars and pubs will have the PPV.

They will probably have a cover charge of at least $75. For previous Mayweather fights they have asked Directv commercial accounts for 80% of the individual PPV price per person. They base the per person based on Fire code capacity. So the cover will be high.

that article has no bearing on this conversation.

that is correct, no other HOTEL-CASINO property gets the CC.

that's why we are talking about bars/pubs and the PPV.

those will be everywhere just like in every other city in the country/world.

Actually, its not true that no other casinos in Clark County can air the fight....I got an invite to a viewing party at Harrahs Laughlin. I think they are excluding other properties in Vegas from showing it.....but Laughlin is still in Clark County.

Does the Tilted Kilt in the Linq count as Casino/Hotel? What about Twin Peaks? Blondies in Miracle Mile? If those are eligible I would think they would be best bests, but pricey.

Tilted Kilt, Twin Peaks, Hooters, etc are all the normal bar-type places that show these fights.

however, I don't know if the ones actually inside the hotel/casino will be able to get the PPV.

but I'm sure that ones unassociated with a hotel/casino will have it.

but you can guarantee very pricey entry and totally, totally packed.

No idea about Vegas but I was talking to a guy at Buffalo Wild Wings a couple months ago.
He said the big boxing matches they had to pay thousands to be able to air it. (can't remember the amount now) but he said that they basically broke even on those nights with a full house.

UFC nights were $1500-2500 and they made bank.

UFC to grow their sport has done a good job of offering their PPVs to bars at a fair price. Boxing won't do that. They will charge high prices forcing bars to charge an insane cover which then lead to smaller tabs at the bar.

As far as hotels that are Not MLIFE thast are showing the fight in vegas... DaiLun got a room offer and Viewing party offer from the Silver Sevens https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/showthread.php?119322-Silver-Sevens-comp-offer.

Unless something has changed, Silver7's is def not an Mlife property but it is a hotel. I'm watching this closely. Will be in Vegas with wife, son and his girlfriend. Would like to save the day for all 4 of us for under $300.00. And then go see Jamie Foxx at the Bank (Bellagio) afterwards!!

I think the only casino I received an invite from was the Tropicana in AC. Weird because I have almost no real play there. That was through email, I haven't checked my snail mail for a while but I'm guessing there isn't anything there.

I have received a ton of invites from non-casino venues like bars and lounges, most of which I haven't been to in ages. I haven't really looked at them so don't know the details.

I have a room booked at Caesars in Vegas for that weekend I was able to snag complimentary before they updated the system after the fight was announced. I'm still thinking of going if there is some cool viewing party I can buy my way into. It would just be me and my little bro probably. Otherwise a colleague of mine is hosting a viewing party at his place. I've never been there but he is supposed to have a sick home theatre.

be sure to please post any Ceasars viewing event(s). I too got the Flamingo (aint Ceasars...but free) before the comps dissappearred for 5 nights 4/29-5/4 and I'm hoping that CET properties work something out.

Caesars will have nothing. CET casinos will not be able to show the fight.

Its my understanding that the fight can be shown at a Non-hotel venue (see DaiLun post about Silver sevens invitation only party at the Metropolitan high rise condos). I have to believe that Silver Sevens is not the only non Mlife casino that will take care of some of its patrons. At least I hope not!!
