Does anyone know what MGM is going to do with the property when they get finished tearing down the Harmon?

I am only guessing, a small boutique hotel.
    That is the trend.

Removal of the Harmon really does free up some space for something interesting there. They've probably already got plans - we just don't know what they are yet.

My guess would be a construction site. After that who knows.

Let's change it up and build a discount clothes store like Ross or TJ Max.

Another extremely high end retail mall to have sales people stand in.

I'm not an architect, but my understanding is that high rise buildings have footings that are around 100 ft below street level, so once they finish the demo what's left if a big hole in the ground. Given that starting point, I can't imagine they take the trouble to build a one story structure such as a CVS/Walgreens especially given the high cost of property in that area. My guess is they eventually build a scaled down version of hotel/residential with some retail for the CVS/Walgreens fans. The unfortunate reality is that nothing will happen quickly so it will be remain an eyesore.

A nice, mid-strip, valet-only parking garage, not connected to any specific casino/hotel.

How about a club where people can overpay for liquor while their hearing is ruined.

I can't see them taking on a big capital project right away, so my guess would be something decorative, lower cost, and easy to replace. Open air bar/attraction?

They need to do something that would draw people like the fountains do for the Bellagio. But in this day and age, I can't see them doing something non-revenue based so it will end up being something the strip doesn't need another of.
