Ok...admittedly I'm a technical dullard, so forgive me if this is common knowledge...

I just used Google maps street view to virtually cruise down the strip and noticed there's an icon in the top left corner to select what year you want.

I used it to cruise the strip circa 2007 virtually. The Harmon was being constructed, the Sahara was still there complete with rollercoaster, NASCAR Cafe, etc.

Also, if you cruise the West side of Las Vegas Blvd around or about the Wynn, and select the Nov 2007 view, it will give you a night view of the strip.

Anyway, I thought it was kind of cool.

Enjoy if that's you're kind of thing.

If you click the link in my signature, you can kind of get a Vegas fix if that's what you're interested in. Lots of pics/videos from people's Vegas trips, updated every 15 minutes. Hopefully no one yells at me for mentioning my own thing (apparently there is a rule against self promotion on here) but it is relevant to this thread.

That's cool! I was messing around with it after reading this. If you go to NB on LVB at Flamingo. The Cromwell turns into Bill's right when you advance to turn onto Flamingo.

When you click on Google Historical Imagery you can go way back to 1930 Vegas.

I do this alllll the time at work when I'm day dreaming about Vegas. I'll take a drive up the strip or around downtown!

Same here. Sometimes I'll watch a Youtube video of a walk-through of some casino, or just going down the street. Lots of stuff on YouTube.

How many of you looked at the dates and if you were there scoured the images around that time looking for yourselves walking on the sidewalks of the strip?? ok, I did...

I always liked this..graphics are a bit dated, but still kinda cool

I did it too. But none of the dates were when I was in Vegas.

I "drive" around cool places like london, Paris that sort of stuff.

Worked with a girl from sheffield and it was interesting to see what her home town was like.
