I think you just have to ask.

Thank you. I usually just use the room for sleeping and shaving, but this year i'm only staying twice, but 7 days instead of 6. Also, i have never stayed in a Jubilee room at Bally's and the GO room at Flamingo. My main reason is having a Fridge for 7 days and having the ability to stock up on stuff at Walgreens.
The Studio rooms, albeit larger by 200 ft, don't have Fridges or Coffee makers. So by booking the Studio room and then using the tip, hopefully i can get a GO room.
I'm just worried that because i go solo, have most of my nights comped, and i'm only Gold, they might just say "sorry, we're booked solid".
Perhaps my tip could get me a Fridge in the Studio room?

Why don't you tell them about the medication you need refrigerated ;) and usually the hotel won't charge for it.

I don't use medication (although i have been told i need to get my head examined), but since i have the Studio booked and the clerk says no dice to GO, maybe my tip could be used for the Fridge instead. The Studio room at Flamingo (according to pics), is similar to Bally's deluxe rooms in that the furniture has Sofa Love Seats.
Maybe i'll do the same in June at Bally's, tip for a Jubilee room, if not, just get a deluxe room with Fridge with the tip.

He's telling you to tell them about your "medication" you need refrigerated. Intentional quotes on medication.

Here, I'll be more blunt: TELL THEM YOU HAVE MEDICATION EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T, THEY WILL LIKELY GIVE THE FRIDGE FOR FREE

Long as you don't mind sacrificing your morals to keep your Gatorade cold.

Well, i have been accused of having loose morals ever since i said i "sneak" out food from the Gold Coast buffet....LOL.
I heard that it may be $15 per day, i'm staying 7 days, that's too much to pay for just a Fridge.
I think what i'll do is use the tip, perhaps up to $40, to try to get the Jubilee room at Bally's and the GO room at Flamingo. That would alleviate a lot of things as far as the room goes.
    If $40 won't get me a Jubilee and/or GO room.......well, hello MGM........:wink2:

Ask your host or email a host to give you a good deal ( and have it organised that you have a fridge..i always wanna have a fridge as im staying always at least 2,5 weeks in vegas and i want the same room..i dont care paying a lil bit extra so i wont have to hassle going with my luggage to another hotel im frugal but not that frugal! As a diamond you can stay 5 free nites so if you hop cet hotels after each 5 nites you can stay for free

Hey, runner of waves: Buy a collapsible cooler that will easily fit in your suitcase. Then, go to Walgreens and get what ever you need, use ice from the hotel and keep stuff cold. Natch not as big as a fridge and you'll need to add ice once a day and empty water out maybe every other day, but it sure works! Now I can have some cereal and juice for breakfast i/o spending a lot of money on a breakfast buffet or the like.

Thanks, but i don't use hosts as i go solo and i'm only Gold. I'm actually booked at Bally's for 6 nights in June and 6 nights at Flamingo in November. I'm also comped 5 of the 6 nights at each hotel, so the extra tip should get me a Jubilee and GO room. Doesn't matter what the view is, as long as it's those rooms since i know they're remodeled.

    @hotreds
Appreciate the link. I use a similar container, although not collapsible, i live within walking distance to the ocean and use it often. I use my over the shoulder Duffle bag when i go to Vegas, but thanks.

I don't think that's entirely accurate. You won't be able to have 20 nights comped because you've hotel hopped a few times. CET requires 2 days (historically) between stays and comp stays are usually a max of 5 nights.. The language for rules and regs for 7 Stars (as of April 1) require 4 days between comp stays. That rule may not necessarily be enforced, but the language is there. Certainly a host will make exceptions.

I work at a hotel and personally hate it when people claim that they need a fridge for medical reasons when they actually don't. Most hotels only hold one or two med fridges behind so when they get scooped up be people without a legit reason and a guest comes in needing one for insulin, it can turn into a bad situation.

I had to pay for it once and another time they just gave it to me. I'd say just ask.

I have to agree with DReynolds86. I am a type 1 diabetic who wears an insulin pump and takes another injection that requires refrigeration as well as my insulin bottles. I almost always get a fridge when requested and usually show them my pump. A few times I have been told that they are "out of fridges" and I have had to make do with a bucket of ice which often causes my meds to become saturated and less effective. I am perfectly willing to pay for my fridge, but rarely have to if they are available. I am often upgraded to a suite or a room that has a fridge, which is nice but not always the case. Please consider the actual needs of others when you say you need a fridge for "medical reasons" when you really don't! Thank you.

For this trip, I NEED a fridge for medication and the Luxor said that so many people claim to need one that they now charge $25 per day. I will ask when I arrive, but very disappointed that it is going to cost me so much just to keep my meds cold.

Fremont Hotel and Casino told me they will not be charging me since I need it for meds.
