So I am taking my sister to Vegas in May. Originally, we had planned to stay at Aria (she has been there twice with me before I really liked it). Then I get an invite to a bac tourney at Cosmo. She says she doesn't care which one we stay at, but her priorities for the trip are: good pool (not a party pool), decent room, good food options, a workout room, access to spa amenities, and see a show. I know we will get a good suite at either. Actually, to varying degrees, we can get all of her desires at either resort. I am undecided where to book, so I thought I would ask the Board their thoughts based on these criteria

Has she stayed at Cosmo before, if not, that's where you should go. Perhaps, we will have a showdown at the final tournament table!

How many nights will you be there UK? If 4 or more then I'd do both, otherwise I much prefer Aria's casino and spa.

Four nights. Although one day of the trip we will be gone for the most part while we go hiking

Spa after a hike may be better at Aria?
Fountain view she would like no doubt at Cosmo...

Cosmo has a few good points but I am way partial to Aria.
I posted a head to head comparison a couple years ago.

Either is great. Aria non-party pool is basically next to the party pool, so you are going to get all that noise. At Cosmo, there is the chill pool at the front and then Marque towards the middle back.

If she wants to stay and play in Vegas, Cosmo.
If she wants to stay and play in a bank office building in downtown Charlotte, Aria.

They must have some extremely nice office buildings in downtown Charlottes.

UK, is she in her early 20s? If so Cosmo. If not Aria. pool is better at Aria and a 2 bdrm sky suite penthouse at Aria is nice. Food is better at Aria and you can always walk to Cosmo if you wanted. But get a room at cosmo too so you can play in the tourn with plee and me!

For what it's worth, I was not blown away by the Spa at Aria. Yes it was nice, and maybe I was expecting too much, but I wouldn't make a decision on that personally. (unless the one at Cosmo is terrible)

She is 42. Party scene is not her thing. Doesn't mind it, either, but we are not looking for it this trip
