    I know this is not news at all. Maybe someone already post it here, even multiple times.
    But we see everyday there are people asking the same question: what are the best hotels on the Strip.

    I am not saying AAA's five diamond list is the only standard to judge a hotel good or not,
    but it certainly means something.

    On the list of 2015 five diamond hotels in the state of Nevada, all 7 are on the Strip;

    ARIA Resort & Casino
    ARIA Sky Suites
    Bellagio
    Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas
    Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
    SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand
    Wynn Tower Suites

    I think the five diamond rating is kind of useless at this point. There's no way that Bellagio can compete with the Mandarin Oriental. The same goes for Aria. A convention hotel like Aria or Bellagio with thousands of rooms isn't going to be able to give the same personalized service to which a luxury aficionado is accustomed. I think neither the Bellagio nor Aria qualify as true luxury resorts. I like Aria and I do stay there but it's absolutely nothing like staying at Mandarin Oriental or even the lesser liked property (by me, anyway), the Four Seasons. More than anything, I think the five diamond ratings are a marketing campaign.

    Agreed. The exception would be the boutique operations within the larger properties, a la the sky suites, mansion, villas etc where the personalized service and (at some properties) butler service etc can trump what Mandarin provides.
