I tried to plan a trip for that weekend, till my wife figured out it was Easter weekend.

Now I'm planning for Cinco de Mayo.

I honestly had no idea that I will be in Vegas on Easter until right now. Good thing I'm not Catholic!

We're agnostic-Druid, or maybe its Universalist-Zoroastrian, so we're covered. Anyway, we're hosting Greek Feast the following weekend for Orthodox Easter so we get points for that.

And I will visit the Cathedral of Shadow Creek.

(No Christians were harmed or intentionally meant to be offended in the creation of this message. I am actually a baptized Methodist but temporarily -- OK, for many decades -- in the free agent pool. I believe in love and happiness, being kind to animals and aiding the elderly. And good single-malt Scotch.)

Funny story about that ken - when I got married and met with the catholic priest I told him I was Methodist.. went home to visit my parents and my mother corrected me.. I'm actually Presbyterian.. so when we met with a different priest I told him I'm Presbyterian..

So by the end - we just called me "Metho-byterian".

Love MGM Grand but can't afford it now......Harrah's offers us 5 nights every year while MGM only offered one 3 day stay around 5 years ago........But anyways, we always to at Easter since the bride works for the schools and has that week off every year. Only 10 days to go go go.....to Sin City U.S.A.

My wife sings in the parish choir and starting this Sunday (Palm Sunday) through Easter Sunday she has something almost everyday. Either practice or services, so I can never schedule over Easter. We did do it many years ago when our kids were in High School and had a great time. It was our first trip in about 15 years so a good trip was inevitable.

We are staying at Main Street Station for the first time this Easter weekend.

This is our third or maybe fourth Easter in Las Vegas. We like the weather at this time of year.

    lol

We don't gamble much so pretty much every room represents the other kind of real coin (cash not comps). Found surprisingly good rates through MLife, to the tune of a significant reduction from any of the consolidators. I mean, we coulda saved more going to the Trashy Castle but at three nights at $440 inclusive for an exec king, we deemed it a good deal. Have a great trip, yourself.

Surprisingly we don't gamble all that much either, but CET comps us at least 5 nights a year. The only offer that MGM emailed us came by total surprise as we hadn't been there or gamble there is a few years. Go figure.

Ken, I hate to be the one to break this to you……..their going to charge you a resort fee…..your most likely not familiar with that, so read up on it. And BJ is all 6-5 on the floor, I wont even mention what kinda turkey they have there either. Lol :wink2:

    Have a great trip!
