It is inevitable. After a couple multi-hour sessions of blackjack, my lower back is killing me. I tend to eat Advil like candy, but sometimes I need a little more. However, I don't really have time for a spa massage (gambling time is precious).

I recall finding those massage chairs that you typically find in malls in two places: the Trop and the Flamingo. However, I think the Flamingo removed them. Has anyone seen any elsewhere?

I've never tried one of those water tube massage machine things. Any thoughts on those? Or have you seen those around Vegas?

Finally, I'd pay $20 for five minutes on an inversion table in those instances, too. I wonder if there are any of those located in any hotel gyms?

I'm open to any other suggestions to cure blackjack back, or I'd be willing to donate to a research fund. Quitting the game is not an option.

    Thanks!

Harrahs had a couple massage chairs by the elevators in september.... they also had a couple of girls walking around that would massage your neck or back for a few bucks.

I get up and stretch between shuffles.

I've not seen that anywhere but in the poker rooms, that would be great! I'd pay a few bucks for a neck massage while at the tables.

Excellent idea. Getting up and stretching will do wonders. Touch your toes with legs straight. People will look at you like your nuts but what the heck it's not the weirdest thing going on I'm sure. I do this on long car rides as often as possible for my sciatic nerve problem.

I'm surprised no one suggested drinking until your numb.

Good info about Harrahs. Wish they had 3:2, as well! I do stretch a bit; probably not enough. And I have done the numbness thing. Doesn't do much for my blackjack game, but does alleviate the pain; well, at least until morning.

you can find 3/2 shoe games.... some as low at $10 or $15 during the day.
stay away from the party pit and go to the pit where the old bar was.

OMG.....love to know I am not alone. I always get what I refer to as "blackjack neck". We always go in August and play cards for hours. I somehow always end up right in line with the air conditioner blowing on my neck. Crap, towards the end of the week, I can barely move. Ah, the price we pay to gamble.

I tend to favor playing at the taller tables that have barstool-type chairs, so that I can actually stand for the occasional shoe.

I get blackjack leg, Standing in place for an hour 20 gets rough, wait, your playing, Im dealing.

Honestly get up and walk around a bit, it helps and please don't be one of those guys at the table for 48 hours straight, those around you will wish you had a shower (trust me, I had that guy today and yesterday).

Some casinos do the massage people walking the floor, I'm not too sure which ones in Vegas but its not cheap, like $3 a minute with a minimum or something like that, thats what they charge at the one I work at.

They had a water massage table at a place just below the Outback steakhouse. It felt really good at the time but it's more of a novelty rather than decent pain relief.

Iv never used one but a co-worker (fellow dealer, former police officer) uses one every night after his shift at our casino at the Planet Fitness since it is part of his membership. He swears by it.

I can definitely relate! A good blackjack session can easily go 4+ hours.

True. I saw some pics of the Wynn Macau High Roller tables today. The chairs are amazing; I doubt I've have the same problem there, but that'll never happen!

Never that crazy! No way I could do even 8 hours, but I think I've done 6.

That's one reason I've preferred hand shuffles to machines. I like the break between shoes.

MGM always seems to have lots of massage girls for any sitting table games, they'll even do you on slots. Some are definitely better than others, but it's all good.
