Here's some background, I'm mainly a craps player with a $15/$25 pass line bet with full odds and spreading around $200. My ADT is around 1000 from what my Caesars host tells me. I'm well established at CET properties but am looking to establish myself with Mlife. I played a couple of sessions in the fall at the Bellagio and ran into some bad variance, lost around $3500.

I got my first MLife offer. It's their spring offer and I can get 3 nights at Aria, Bellagio, MB, Mirage, and MGM with $100 resort credit or 3 suite nights at NYNY, MC, Lux or the Exc with same resort credit, or 2 nights at Delano with $100 credit.

I have a couple of questions. Am I able to take advantage of 1 offer for each property or is it a 1 time use type of thing? In other words, if I book the Bellagio, would the offer go away for the other properties? I do see that each one has a separate code but they all fall under the Spring offer.

Secondly, I'm looking to establish for the long term where future offers would keep flowing. I don't want to stay at the Aria, and have them deem my action too small, and have no future offers. I would much rather play at a lesser property like Mirage if they would value my action.

Any suggestions on what to do? I'm looking to go out for about a week in late May/June. Probably use an offer for 2 days on the front end, stay at Caesars for 3 nights because of the 72 hour rule, and return for a final 3 nights at an Mlife place.

Should I reach out to a host?

It's been a while since I've used my corporate offers rather than my host, but IIRC you can use the room portion of the offer on multiple occasions (with the 48-72 "break" in between) however the FB and FP are one time use only. You may have individual offers from specific casinos as well in addition to the corporate offer, and those tend to be better. You could use both the corporate offer and the property specific offer and get all the comps for both. This is how it used to be but I'm not sure if it's changed.

All that said, I'd reach out to a host. At your level of play, they should be happy to assist you with putting together whatever you need in terms of accommodations. Mlife offers are always for 3 night max, but going through a host, they can comp any number of days up front for you (within reason - not 14 days), add in upgrades, FP, FB, etc. All depending on your play of course. Your level, especially at a mid level spot (Mirage, MGM, MB) you should have no problem getting pretty nice digs and a solid amount of FB and FP. The hosts have the ability to override the restrictions that the offers have, so it's worth reaching out.

One other thing to keep in mind about MLife is that they aren't as forthcoming with upfront comps as CET, but they are much more generous on the back end. It's a leap of faith when you first make the switch, but a full trip dedicated to MLife with your level of play you should have no problem getting reasonable charges taken off on the backend, and better offers going forward.

I thought I had it all figured out, but I obviously don't. I would worry less about what you may or may not get in the future and just book and play where you would like to stay and play NOW. Here is my example. I split time equally during the year at Aria, MB, Mirage and MGM Grand. I rotate properties depending on the occasion. My play is the same at each of these properties. MGM grand gives me the most Resort Credit, followed by Aria, Mirage, and then MB. Aria is my favorite, but when I bring the family, we like to stay at Mirage or MB. So, while it seems you should get better offers at the mid-tier properties, that is not always the case. Just go with what you want to enjoy at this moment.

It depends on hosts vs. offers. Hosts will look at your past play and comp you accordingly. So if you generate $XXXX in theo, the host will look at that and say I can comp $XXX. Usually the first thing that is comped is the room, then anything left over can be used for the extras like FB, FP, etc. So the lower end properties can give you more (either more free nights, a nicer room, or FB, FP) because the "cost" of the room is lower than Bellagio or Aria.

Corporate offers from Mlife are the same. That's why when you get a CORPORATE offer and click through the properties the offer will change usually from resort to resort.

What you're talking about is most likely the offers that come directly from the property not from corporate. Those offers are based on your play only at that casino. As I said earlier, those usually tend to be better, especially if you concentrate more of your play at that casino. I don't disagree with the advice of just picking what you want, but I still think it's worth emailing a host to see what they can do. Worst case is he ends up with his corporate offer.

Like I said the difficult part for most going from CET to Mlife is the lower up front comps, especially the free nights. If you're used to getting 5 nights at CET comped up front and some FB/FP, Mlife offers will be less attractive because they're going to charge you for the additional two nights (unless you go through a host). They are much more liberal on the backend though, so if you have pretty solid play, you can get the additional nights comped and then some. It's a leap of faith for CET players who are used to knowing up front their room is covered.

I hear ya and that is exactly how I thought it would be, but then my latest corporate and property specific offers put me back into the "who knows how mlife works" camp. My corporate summer offer is a comp suite, $500 RC, and 2 select show tix, across all Vegas mlife properties. My MGM direct offer is comp suite, $750 RC, limo, and 2 select show tix. My Aria direct offer is comp Sky Suites, limo, $300RC, and 2 select show tix. My Mirage direct offer is comp Deluxe room and $400 RC. I usually book my MGM stays online through mlife and use my Hosts when booking Aria, Mirage, and MB. The total amount played at each property is fairly equal throughout the year. It seems like mlife also uses daily temperature, wind speed, solar flare ups, and air quality, in determining future offers.

About 6 years ago I was Diamond at CET and decided I wanted to try the MGM properties.
Called the Players Club ( prior to being called MLife) asking about an upfront comp.
No deal. They said book your room and see us after you are here for a couple days.
Boooked at MGM and saw a host after a couple days.
He comped my room and just about all of my food.
I got more for my play at nicer properties.

You sure did Nittany1, its no surprise that most of us former CET players are now exclusively only M-Life guys.
They treat us better and give us great comps.
Not just rooms, but food, shows whatever we want.
It shows why CET is nearly bankrupt and my MGM is thriving.

MGM properties don't rate odds. If you're betting $25 pass line plus, say, $85 inside, that's $110 rated. Your ADT is gonna be more like $200, not $1000. If your spread includes field, hardways, horns, hops, &c then you'll be rated higher. Spreading $200 on the line, place, field, horn, hardways, etc should get you over 500 ADT.

I'd be interested in hearing what an mLife guy says your ADT is.

As far as offers -- at this level you should be able to get a small suite plus at least $100/day. You'd have more luck at MB, MGM, or Bellagio than at Mirage. For some reason, the Mirage thinks of itself as the top of the MGM ladder. I've had extremely poor success getting them to care about my craps play. I like MGM and MB/Delano the best for comps as they've got the widest variety of suites.

There's no free lunch. Any place that includes odds in your rating, all it affects is the gross number they tell you. There's no theo on odds, it doesn't affect your ADT. Comps-wise, the only way odds can help you is if you lose a lot.

    Exactly right.
A casino can say they rate odds but it is somewhat misleading as it goes into the computer as odds and will not inflate your theo.

Your comps will not increase based on a casino saying they rate odds.
Your comps will be based on actual loss or theo.

As stated above, your adt of $1000 day sounds high based on your average unless you are playing 12 hours a day.

I have realized this about Mirage as well...at least with direct marketing offers. With Mirage it seems to be better to go directly through a Host.
