Caesar's to Lotus of Siam... how to get there?

Title says it all....whats the easiest way? Better to catch cab from another property? Is there a bus and back? Anything else in that area worth wandering in to (decent locals casino etc)?

Probably do lunch there on the Monday or Tuesday of our trip, unless there is a menu reason to go only during dinner (i.e. certain must haves not served during lunch??)

Cab is going to be easiest both directions (other than driving yourself I guess). Lotus will call you a cab on the return just let them know a little bit before you are ready to go. Nothing to see around there unless you need a root canal (I think dentist next door). It really is in a very non-descript strip mall ..

Lunch is fine they have the full menu. There use to be a buffet during lunch you should avoid but that went away last year.

Def get the deep fried prawns. Those are awesome. Already have my reservation for my next trip. Think this will be 5 or 6 trips in a row that we've made it to lotus

 

Thanks Jay...I want to get the pork rinds/chili paste app I have heard so much about, and I was also advised to order form the 'northern specialties" part of the menu for the best stuff.

Is there a bar you can eat at if we go without reservations?

 

Unless a couple sex clubs and/or gay bars entice you, there really isn't anything else of note in the Commercial Center. Being just a bit east of the strip on Sahara, there's no tunnel or freeway to be worried about if you cab it, which IMO is the quickest way to get there.

Cab would be the fastest and easiest way to get to the place. If you have the time you can also take the bus to the place. You can take the Deuce bus and get off on Sahara, then there is a Sahara express bus that goes along the way. Make sure you get directions as the restaurant isn't visible from Sahara avenue. It is located in a strip mall but the entrance to the restaurant faces the parking lot so make sure you get directions first. I drove back and forth when I first looked for the place, had a hard time finding the street number but nowadays best to use google street maps to get a look of the strip mall.

the mall contains a (foreign) grocery store and also (as smartone mentioned) an adult club.

 

Cab is definitely the way to go. Just a quick jaunt down E. Sahara.

Love the crispy duck panang and the sea bass drunken noodles. Riesling list is still a force to be reckoned with!

And if you're up for more Thai exploring, Chada is killer these days, too. I can't choose, so I just hit both on every trip now ... often lunch at Lotus to start and Chada for dinner the first night.
