Wanted to see what type of offers everyone receiving from Cosmo. I started with comped regular room, 100 dining and 375 promo chips. Now, I just get free room and 100 dining credit.

I usually take one gambling trip with my buddies and one non gambling trip w my girlfriend. For the gambling trip I average 300~600 avg bet, 12~16 hrs on blackjack over the weekend. Other trips are with my girlfriend and gaming is minimal if at all. I am up front with my host about my non gambling trip which he normally has no problem comping RFB, but was wondering if I can get more promo chips from them if I ask, especially given recent changes in Identity point earning.

Ive seen folks sharing they get close to 2k in promo chips... please do share and make me jealous. Thanks!

My offers from them are 2 nights in a regular room and $175 in promo chips, cuz imma baller.

This is an improvement from several months back when my "offers" were invitations to come over and pay for a room.

Promo chips have definitely been pulled back, but they are doing well with teasers. My friend stayed at Cosmo for one weekend and they gave him nearly $4k in free play for his next trip on his first offer.

My promo chips went away but still get 4 nights. I figured it went away because my play lagged a little compared to previous trip. They was about 80% of the previous trip.

I am only posting to get consensus of what Cosmo is offering. In January, I was rated at 580/hand, 16 hours for last Fri-Sun trip in January. My host was all happy and took off 350+charge on my room. Last visit in February, I went with my girlfriend, and also told my host that I wouldn't be gambling much when I asked him to book this trip. I think I had about 150 charge on my account. He ended up taking care of the bill, but had to dip into my Identity points that I accumulated. He also commented that he can't do much because I was "up". I think I was about 1k up at that point... It was my understanding that winning/losing has very little to do with getting comped but I guess I was wrong. Can any of you guys comment on this? Thanks!

It was probably more due to your reduced play over being a winner.

My promo chips disappeared as well. I still have the nights and dining credit, but since last September, my promo chips dropped $2900 to $2175 to $1800 to $1500 to $1100 to zero.

Maybe if I stop staying there they'll tease me back?

Is there any way to get the promo chips from an offer without booking the comp room?

I'm sure we will drop into Cosmo regardless so would be cool to get the chips, even though it's a small amount. But I'd feel wasteful booking the room without needing it.

    correct, you're wrong.

    winning vs losing is everything.

casinos are in business to make money. when you take their money, they are much less generous.

hosts get reviewed based on actual win they bring in each year. because of that, when you win most (poor) hosts will be way less generous on the comp front than when you lose. comps are generally based off theo, so it's mostly just an excuse, but they use it a lot.

a good host that you develop a relationship with will take care of you the same regardless because they know when you win it's more likely you'll come back sooner and lose it back, so it's good for them in the long run. but most hosts are not good and are very short-sighted. actually that applies to most people in life...

I never used my teaser offer that is expiring next week.

that didn't stop them from removing the promos from my next offer.

I know theres a whole separate thread for this but I think for the most part, I get comped because I give my host 100 cash tip for every visit when he goes over my play rating. my bankroll is about 10k and i play 200~300 per hand at least and if i start losing, bet increades. I never lost at Cosmo for my past 6~7 trips and given your comment, it sounds like if I keep winning, the comp will be less and less. I'd still win then losing and getting generous comps though. Thank you for your input!

    pleepleus is the Cosmopolitan expert...LOL

Pleepleus told me he use to be able to pick up his Promos and not book a room but now they require him to book a room.

Better than my offers there. I have gotten a few promos in the past but now NOTHING. But then again I agreed to a different program so my offers is nothing like what you guys get. (I get nothing or very little)

Shifter is right on his statement below.

Interesting. Maybe that's why mine disappeared, figured it was b/c the lower average. We shall see in May, I plan on being back at or above my prior average next time around.

I got my offer via e-mail today. They have decrease to 2 nights comped in a terrace suite with 100 resort credit and no promo chips.

I'm pretty surprised they keep sending me offers since I burned them for 3 nights comped in wraparound suite 3 times (e-mail offer). I think they keep sending me offers because I loss my ass there many times in the past.

    Got mine today....

150 credit per night for Fri Sat or 2 nights Sun to Thursday. Ends a few weeks before I may be there in July so I need to wait until I get another offer. With my upgrade to Sterling, with the 1 night a year I assume I can use that to Cover a Saturday night stay if need be.
