I am going to make my way to the Rio one night from the Monte Carlo. Gonna do the Voodoo zipline, lounge, and steakhouse. Any suggestions on the best way to get there, best meal at the steak house, anything else they have that I should check out. I will probably play blackjack do they have good tables there?

I like Rio's casino. Their Carnival World International Buffet is pretty damn good. And doing the Voodoo Zipline in March! As far as getting there goes, can't speak to that, as we're renting a car. Not sure what cab fare would cost, but Palms and Gold Coast are a walk away, so you could make it a three-fer.

We went and did the zipline last week. We took the free shuttle from Ballys. It runs till about midnight I believe. We walked back, but we went during the day. Zipline was a blast!

Take the tram from Monte Carlo to Bellagio. Walk over to Ballys and take either the Ballys shuttle to Rio or the Coast shuttle to Gold coast ( and walk over to the Rio). I can't speak on the BJ there but of all the CET properties they,Rio, have the best Vp and some of the friendliest craps tables. Ditto on the Carnival World buffet too!

The buffet is still good, food-wise, but they very obviously cut down the serving area, actually walled off where two steam lines used to be.

They also closed the rear Diamond/Platinum entrance. They still have a Diamond/Platinum line for the main cashier, however. It also seems like the prices are up again. It was over $120 for four of us! (**STICKER SHOCK!**)

    Simple answer: No.
But the good news is - Gold Coast is right next door, with plenty of $5 & $10 two-deck 3:2 pitch games, H17 with DAS.

I will say that the 'carnival-game' pit at Rio is a LOT of fun, especially the UTH table... and I am enamored with the "uniform" that the Rio cocktail waitresses wear...yum.

Edit to add a link... scroll about half-way down for an example of that CW uniform!

Can you still get coupons or 2-for-1's for the Rio Voodoo bar on the roof?

I've been there before but my wife hasn't and the view is worth it if you can get a discount.
