Craps value/rating

I apologize if this has been covered but I am new to the ADT/Theo world. I play slots/ blackjack and craps but I have been playing a lot of craps these past trips so I am wondering what I will be rated as.

I play at a $10 min table.
- $10 Pass Line
- $10 Pass Line Odd Bet
-$12 on 6
-$12 on 8

This is my usual bet so will I be rated as a $44/hand player?

 

At the Cosmo they consider odds so you'd be rated at $44 there.

 

Most casinos will rate you as a $34 player.

 

Ditto. My home casino, Seneca Niagara, ignores the odds, just the pass line and place bets. They also, in a separate slot, rate the field, horn, hard way and hop bets (which is something that they just started doing).

 

Any CET property (Geezers for sure) will rate you 44.00...

 

Aria and Bellagio will rate you at 34.00.

 

Thanks guys for the info. I started to play with mlife so it seems I will be rated at $34/Hand....I tried google a calculation but theoretically if I play $34/hand and play for 1 hr how many tier credits would the equate to? I'm not playing for comps or anything just want to see if I can hit the next card level up.

 

MLIFE is 30 TC per $1 of theo.

you know whats weird.... stevied taught me If you just buy the point instead of "odds behind the pass" it gets rated at all casinos. Prob not worth the vig on a larger bet though.

 

That's because "buying the point" has a decent size house edge, rather than the ZERO edge on the odds..
6/8 = 1.52%
5/9 = 6.7% (Unless you can play "smart" and push the house for a $30 buy for $1 vig on win only)
4/10 = 1.48% (IF you can do the same and push the house for a $30 buy in a $1 vig on win only)

 

However if the point is 6 and you have $10 on the pass line with $50 in odds you are rated as a $10 player. A hit pays $70. If you place the 6 for the same $60 you are rated as a $60 player and a hit still pays the same $70.

so to be clear
6/8
10 dollar pass, 50 dollar odds = 70 profit. pass line win plus 60 odds. rating is $10
10 dollar pass (if you are shooting) + 48 place = 10 pass win + 56 place bet win = profit of 66 rating is $58
60 dollar place bet on 6/8 = 70 profit rating is 60

In my opinion, I do not think the extra in rating is worth loss. Things change on the 5/9 and 4/10 but that just makes it a buy vs place discussion.
Its just another option for a casual craps player to increase their "average" bet for comps.

I know this isn't apples to apples but using a "comps calculator" you might be making 5x the theo and it can push you over the edge over many hours a day.
Either way, if the point doesn't come, these scenario loses. But with the extra rating. it might add enough comp value to the people on the edge. small "vig" to pay for possible increasing the comp.

 

Everything just got confusing... Hahahahaha. I guess there is much to learn rather then just placing bets jahaha.

 

I'm assuming you're not clear on what theo means. It's theoretical loss. What that means is your average bet multiplied by the house advantage. So $100 bet x 1.5% = $1.50 per decision. The casinos considers the long term so let's say you get this over 2 hours and the game you play has 50 decisions per hour. Your theoretical loss would be $150. Your actual win/loss probably won't be exactly this though.

So what am I getting for theo in a 1 hour session?

 

Average bet (per the pit boss), time, house edge. The formula is a secret, and each places rates differently.

most places do not rate odds.

according to a random comps calculator, average bet of 60 dollar in 1 hours of craps = 78 dollars an hour in theo.

If you only "press" on hot shooters, I doubt they will increase the average bet variable that much more.
