CES 2015 - Vegas 13.0 is upon us

My yearly CES pilgrimage is booked and I am getting anxious. I will try to post some trip reports here as well as on my website. Once booked for Vegas the waiting truly is the hardest part.

 

If anyone is looking for a deal on accommodations during CES Week, I have rented one of my two units at the HGVC Flamingo timeshare behind the Flamingo hotel, but still have a one-bedroom unit available (Monday-Thursday nights) for just over $100 a night, which is a steal during CES Week

 

Just testing my poker face and pictures from the phone. 10 days!!

 

Inside 3 days, last day of work, going to be the longest day of work ever. May the tables be in everyone's favor.

 

Made chocolate chip pancakes for my little guy, last night before I'm gone to the promised Vegas land so I am spoiling him. Hopefully the craps tables and pickem poker will spoil me.

I am pretty concerned it's not going to go. The next last flight out of CID is hours before. And there's not much fall back with Allegiant. if I am not out of the state by 3pm tomorrow we're getting walloped with a winter storm and then that might be it. Trip trashed and cashed. We'll see what happens though.

Well finally came to the airport once it looked like a plane was coming from Vegas, and my wife and to were dropping me off, didn't want them in the cold too late.

$8.25 Millstream Bock is in hand. Allegiant had free pizza and pop at the gate, more than I expected from them. Currently flight tracker says the plane will land here at 12:07am central so we pry won't be in the air to Vegas until 1am

 

On the plane 5 hours late and counting. 1am central but I think I will make it to Vegas and a gal I went to college with is picking me up so I assume this will get stupid quickly. Called MSS and said don't expect me before 4am local. Throwing on the anker battery to try to get me thru as the phone is at 9%.

 

Left Cedar Rapids shortly after 1am. Was an oversized Boeing 757-200 that I didn't know allegiant had so I had an entire row to myself. Got picked up at the airport, quick drop to check in at MSS, and off to Frankies Tiki hut. Git half an hour of sleep on the plane so I believe a third wind and bad decisions are coming.

 

Anymore updates ron? ,I wanted to head out sunday and had a great deal for 4 nights but stupid me. now rates are through the roof!

how is the crowd for anyone down there? They claim 160k+ this year. Is everything packed? I love vegas when its packed!

 

It's starting to get busy, but I think most are arriving tomorrow and Wednesday.
