So, if you just wanted to gamble anywhere in Vegas and throw most all of your gambling budget at it in the pursuit of the best room offers, where would you go?

IMHO, it all depends on how large your gambling budget is and what your primary game is.

I have comp privileges at Wynncore and Venetian/Palazzo but rarely use them because the places are so "tight".

My simple answer would be a CET property.

My choice would be CET. If you have a TR card from Caesars, you could get free rooms or discounted rooms as well as free rewards credits through Social Rewards. I was at PHO in November and i had 5 comped nights and through my Social Rewards, i was able to pay off my resort fee balance.
For the last few years i have only gambled at Caesars properties. I plan on staying at the LinQ in the Spring.
YMMV, but i have been very happy with Caesars.

    What games?
What sort of budget? $200 a day or thousands a day?
Where have you played in the past - and can build on the past play?
What sort of place do you like to play at, stay at, eat at?
(meaning that it makes no sense to get great comps at a place you dislike)

In April, I plan to throw most of my gambling budget at MGM Grand as they seem to give me the best room offers. Others may have better experiences with CET but I haven't.

Have mostly stayed and played at CET or Boyd properties over the last several years. A few years back I played pretty heavily at the local CET property and had great offers in Vegas. Both have been pretty good with free or discounted rooms. Played a few hours of quarter video poker at the Hard Rock a few times over the last couple of years and get mailings with free or good offers there as well. Didn't know whether there were any other casinos (downtown or off-strip is fine) where an average bet between a dollar and two dollars mixed between slots and video poker for a few hours a day would be likely to yield better results. My gambling budget has gone up over the last year or two but haven't really concentrated it in one or two places and have just kind of played where I felt like it.

for that level, I think CET is your best bet.
You have variety, and all CET places are linked.
The online booking calendar is easy and straightforward and can skip the host.
