Boy, just when I thought they couldn't get any lower, they did. I was in Mississippi last weekend picking up some free shopping and promos at the Beau. I dropped in the Grand owned by CET to do the same. I will sometimes play their 1 million dollar 3 card poker game when I'm trying to relax and slow down my gambling. I like the thought of this could be the hand... So as I was walking through the casino I did a double take at the new bright sign posted over the game announcing the $100,000 top prize. Surely this must be a mistake I thought. I was just out in Vegas a few weeks ago and didn't notice any changes to this game. Well, nope, no mistake. Just some good old fashioned Loveman customer service, because their "customer's demanded it." So now if you happen to hit a 6 card diamond Royal Flush you will make $100,000 rather than 1 million, just like you would for hitting the 6 card Royal on any of the suits.

CET must figure that folks in Mississippi either have 1) no choice and/or 2) are stupid. Either way, I didn't give them a single bet out of principle. Just one more reason to hate CET and look forward to their restructuring.

Didn't CET pay out at least twice this year on that bet? That's a sure fire way for me to reevaluate the payout. But knocking it down by 90% is still a bit drastic.

They have paid it out several times nationwide since the game was implemented. Probably more often than expected, or CET gets more 3 card action than I think.

I think the reduction of the one million dollar payout is terribly shortsighted as winning a million is a big draw for the side bet. This move only ups the house edge from 18.10% to 18.98%. If this move causes more than 5% of players to quit playing, then they lose money overall.

CET has made another blunder at Caesars Las Vegas with UTH. They now cap the Trips bet at $50. This is where the house makes money, yet they are so scared of someone winning a bunch of trips bets. They must not know they collect more from this bet than they payout.

Yes that's their new name there. And regardless of what their website says, that's no longer the payout.

While dropping that jackpot is a definite screwing (especially if they kept the 1M payout at their other properties), the screwing that hits me way more often is their dropping the flush payment from the original 4-1 down to 3-1. The million dollar payout is extremely rare but those flushes come regularly. Of course, just about every other big gaming company (MGM, Boyd, etc) have followed suit. The only place on the MS Gulf Coast that I know still pays the 4-1 flush payout is Treasure Bay.

I really like the dealers and pit crew at Harrahs Gulf Coast, but their limits are a bit ridiculous. I played a 100-1000 BJ table recently. Really? I went over the Beau and their game was 100-10,000. Same rules.

They are terrified of the action there. I have a roulette habit. I'm still drawing promos from play a year ago b/c of it. Anyway, my host who is as close to a friend as it gets in this business, has flat out told me that they are afraid of me there and sweat the action heavy. They will do whatever they can to reduce the chances of you winning bc they lack the players at the high level pass the variance off. The Beau is the place to be. The HR is too loud and at times too creepy. IP is certainly improved. I've heard the GN is really doing well and taking a bite out of the BR but from what I saw last weekend, that place is still printing money.

Anyone seen lately if CET has dropped the payout to $100,000 in Vegas too? Or is it still $1 million?

I was there in Bally's AC this year when someone hit the $1M on 3 card poker.

$100K is BS. They tout Millionaire Maker then don't give you the chance.

    I assume it's unchanged. It's $5 for that wager.
