    So when it comes to Vegas, I enjoy planning during the lead up to the trip. Granted, I never end up doing half of what I set out to do, but half the fun of being in Las Vegas is playing it by ear.

    Still, I've set out to do a few things on our short, 3 night trip:

    Thursday;
    • Land, limo to hotel, check in
    • Gamble a little too much and drink way too much until it's time to pass out

    Friday;
    • Breakfast buffet, bounce around the strip for a bit, with some gambling and drinking
    • Light lunch (probably pizza and a beer using coupons from MyVegas)
    • Stop at Frankie's Tiki Room
    • Head to Freemont drink and gamble for a few hours
    • Dinner at Andiamo, head back to the strip

    Saturday;
    • Wide open, although I'm thinking I'd like to check out the Bellagio buffet for some king crab

    Any other suggestions for Saturday? I'd like to check out the Riviera and Aria since they are the only Vegas Strip casino's I've never checked out. Our interests are gaming, drinking, and when we remember, eating.

    edit: fixed a few autocorrect oddities :)

    Bellagio buffet is good. But, for $30 I'd rather be served food, but that's just me...

    Maybe go to the Neon Museum? (weather permitting).

    Aria is great! They have a great casino there. Go get your pizza and beer at Five50 and explore a bit, it's really a wonderful property.

    What kind of gambling do you do? Riv and Aria are very different. Aria is beautiful (was there last week, am working on a trip report) but the limits are going to be higher than what you'll have at Flamingo. I've only visited the Riv once but it's sort of the polar opposite--low limits, not really beautiful.

    I second the Five50 pizza (at Aria) recommendation. The sports book there is very nice.

    In a completely different vein--have you been to Ellis Island (behind Bally's)? $5 3:2 blackjack 24/7, still some pretty good VP (not as good as before), good house-brewed beer, and the famous steak special (see various threads on this site). It would be a short walk from Flamingo. Also, the Stage Door (on Flamingo, behind Cromwell) is a classic joint worth visiting if you haven't been there, for the $3 hotdog and beer deal.

    Yup, already got our coupon. I love pizza, so it's a no brainer! Neon Museum looks cool. Might be a good option for Friday when I'm spending a few hours with some non-gambling local friends of ours.

    I'll play anywhere from $5-50 on BJ, but prefer lower limit craps to be able to comfotably max my free odds. We'd probably end up playing craps at the Riv, and BJ at Aria, assuming they have better table odds (while we like staying at the Flamingo because of location, I don't care much for their BJ odds).

    We love the Stage Door, but have never been to Ellis Island. I think we'll put that on the calendar for Saturday.

    Thanks for the tips guys!

    The BJ at Aria is good if you can play $15 and up. All the games are 3:2. The lower limit games I saw last week ($10 early on a Tuesday morning, usually $15) were continuous shuffle machines, though. And you won't get rated unless you play $25 per hand. That is also NFR weekend, which might (?) affect the minimums on that Saturday. But Aria's definitely worth a visit if you've not been there. (As is Ellis Island!)
