people to know in vegas

Hello, who are some good people to know in vegas? Are the concierges at the nicer hotels on the strip somewhat connected and able to pull some strings? Or are they really just there to provide basic instructions, strip maps and restaurant recs? Any recommended event/club promoters or others?

 

If you say more specifically what you wish the concierge or other person to locate for you, it will help us make specific suggestions.

 

Vegas isn't who you know, it's how you know them. Some ppl blab about who they know and still have to stand in line at a club or pay cover. It does depend on what you want.

Most hotel staff know a few other staff at other hotels. I.E I have used connections of my GF's to get a room upgrade at another hotel in the past.

All the big hotels have thousands of staff (including multiple concierges) though. It's not really a network of favours. Besides, any favour you do someone has a cost in return as you owe them a favour.

You want things done for you, gamble enough to have a high ranking host look after you.

 

A good casino host knows everyone.

 

Basic stuff is the short answer, some try harder than others, but honestly for what you're asking (pull and connections)...yeah get with a host

 

I've found that being on good terms with bartenders, especially at casino bars (as opposed to within nightclubs) goes a long way. The guys at Aria not only remember me, but have been willing to make up new drinks on the spot when I've asked for something different than the usual.

 

I always make friends with the coatail servers, never a problem getting a drink.

 

I learned a long time ago that I'm not good at figuring out who's butt to kiss. So, I just slap on a good lip balm and commence with the butt smooching. I don't leave anybody out. I'm happy with how I'm treated.

 

Know the VIP check-in girls who can always hook you up. Know your host asst. Know the golf course director at the Wynn and Shadow creek. Know your 25 year old Niece's friends who live in Vegas! LOL. Know the GM of your fav restaurant. Know the parking valet. Know the GM of a ladies and gentleman club. Know a floor Sup. Know the casino manager. Know the baggage handler at southwest..
