Does anyone know of a website that might post NFL and college football parlay cards from casinos in Las Vegas? I'm coming into town next weekend and staying at Monte Carlo. I usually only bet game by game ATS, but thought I might try a parlay or two this time in town. I'm strictly an analytical and power number bettor so it would be great to get a visual of the weekend's parlay card to work through on my flight west.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I do not... but covers.com is a good site for checking the spreads, etc.

The cards don't come out until Thursday. Not on any website I'm aware of and I'd be shocked if they were.

not sure if it would be illegal to post a pic of them but if not, if would be great if a local could (for advertising purposes only of course) as it would let you live vicariously if nothing else....I love them....the payouts are not optimal but the teaser points make it more interesting

Why would you want to bet the parlay cards instead of just betting a parlay with a ticket writer?

The parlay cards pay less, and if memory serves me correct (though I could be very wrong), a push on a parlay card is a loss, whereas with a parlay it is not.

I learned that long ago and haven't bet a parlay card in a dozen years... so my information is quite dated.

Interesting...last fall in Vegas (at Monte Carlo), the teller told me I had to use a parlay card.

    Hmmmm...
That doesn't seem right. They can punch them in as you rattle it off.
I know I've bet parlays at MC in the past. Been a few years though.

But I do most of my sports betting nowadays at either a CET property, or at LVH.

(M Life joints don't scan your players card at the books)

I haven't used a parlay card in a dozen years and I bet parlays all the time. He probably sensed that you weren't a regular sports bettor and tried to get you to bet the parlay card to make it easier on both of you.

Unless you're betting a HUGE amount on sports, there's no reason to scan your card.

Think about it like this... they have roughly a 4.5% advantage over you on straight bets. If you make $1k worth of straight bets your theoretical loss would be roughly $45. They'll give you back around 30-40% of that in comps or $13.50-18. Not worth their time.

You'd have to bet around 10x that amount, or $10k, to make it worth their while to scan your card. But even then, you'd have to bet around $25-50k worth of straight bets per day before they could start thinking about giving you RFB.

Instead, they give you drink coupons roughly worth what your comps would equate to if they were scanning your card.

if you like to attack stale lines you can find some parlay cards with them but in recent years they have become more difficult to find

there are people who grind out an edge this way

Always check the parlay cards before playing an over-the-counter parlay.
For example, a 4-gamer over the counter pays as little as +1000 at most Strip books. You can get that (or even +1100) on a half-point parlay card and maybe get a couple of (favourable) stale lines also.
You can find value on the ties-win cards too, but the payouts are less (so the advantage vs the prevailing spread needs to be bigger). Teaser/Super Teasers cards are almost always a bad investment.

Because you can't bet a 9 to 15 team parlay with a ticket writer and the limits are $2 instead of $5.

Ah. Perhaps that explains it. Like I said, it's been years since I've placed a parlay card bet.

What's the limit on parlay teams with a ticket writer? 8?
