JDVegas Trip Report: 10/16 - 10/19 @ MGM. Guys Trip.

It's well under 48 hours until I head for the airport, so I think it's time to start the trip report! My goal is to do some live reporting and some post trip reporting. Live reporting will be photo heavy and text light; Post trip reporting will fill in the details.

Pre-Trip Set Up:

A few years ago, I decided to try and start an annual Fall guys trip to Vegas to compliment the annual May couples trip. In 2012 we stayed at THEhotel: Cabanas, Further @ The Joint, DSO @ House of Blues, Clippers v Nuggets as MB Event Center, and more - great trip. 2013 did not work out, but we are back on for 2014!!



Group total, including me, is five. All five of us went to college together - so we have known each other for just over 30 years. We will have a lot of fun, but we are all 50ish and everyone but me is married or in long term relationship - so no major NSFW debauchery.

• 3 of us, including me, on same flight arriving around 3:15 on Thursday
• 1 of us coming in from different city, but arrives within minutes of our flight
• 1 of us coming in from different city later Thursday

The first four of us will take the same limo from the airport together - so likely a regular limo rather than the Rolls Royce, but the last of our group should hopefully get the RR since he is alone. ​

We have 2 suites set up:

• Executive Queen Suite
• 2-Bedroom Skyloft.

No guarentee on the Skyloft until we get there. Back-up plan is 2-Bedroom Marquee suite. I will be happy with either, but really hoping for Skyloft. My host said he would give me a heads up if there was risk of me getting bumped... so far, so good.​

We try not to pack the trip with plans to leave maximum flexibility:

Thursday:

• Drinks with host before dinner
• Dinner at Craftsteak
• Gamble

Friday:

• Cabana
• Phil Lesh & Friends @ Brooklyn Bowl
• Gamble

Saturday:

• Watch Rutgers upset The Ohio State
• Phil Lesh & Friends @ Brooklyn Bowl
• Gamble

Sunday:

• Bacchanal Buffet @ Caesars

On Either Friday or Saturday after the show, I hope to get a few hours in at the BJ tables at Caesars. I set up a credit line in advance, and made contact with Hunter.​

It sounds like there are a lot of VMBers in Vegas this weekend. Perhaps I will run into some of you...

JD, May the tables and Ms. variance be with you! Play where you stay? Why play at Geezers? If it is to give Hunter some play I totally understand. Good luck again!

 

I just want to get my foot in the door with CET, Caesars... and yes, Hunter. That is the only CET property I would consider staying at (perhaps in NOBU tower?), so I want to see if I enjoy their high limit room. Doubt it will be more than an hour or two. All the rest will be in the Mansion.

Good luck. Hope we both kick ass this weekend. I was just about to look up the forecast for vegas but opened VMB instead, and low and behold you did all the work for me.

 

Only play BlackJack in the high limit Baccarat room. Only ones with the same rules as the Mansion.

Take them down for some BlueBerries and Grays.
