I made Seven Stars earlier this year, and had never been Seven Stars before. I have already taken the Seven Stars trip. It went without a hitch booking the exact flights I wanted and I made use of the entire $1200 airfare allowance.

My understanding is that I should ALSO be able to take the Diamond Aspirations trip this year including $750 airfare. I realize that players who were Seven Stars ALREADY (before the start of 2014) are being told this year that they are only entitled to the Seven Stars trip, not the diamond aspirations trip.

Does anyone have experience doing both trips THIS YEAR? My main host is pretty clueless about this, and tends to give the easy answer (no) rather than really try to figure things out. I am also going to email CET but we all know that you get a different answer from them depending on who you talk to. I don't really want to leave $750 in what amounts to cash airfare reimbursement on the table because the CET people give me the wrong answers.

    Any suggestions/experiences/ideas?

Yes - I earned 170,000 points this year. When I got to 40,000 I booked aspirations 1 in Vegas ( 4 nights, $100) and then the next trip I had 80,000 so I got the $750 airfare and free nights to Harrahs New Orleans. Now, I'm 7S and I have the annual 7S trip booked. You can still do the Diamond II trip. There should be no issue with it.

I do have one question though. I believe that on 4/1/2015, your 7S status is renewed to 3/31/2016 and you can take another 7S trip in 2015, even if you don't have any 2015 play. However, I don't think you can get another Diamond 1 and Diamond 2 trip next year without getting the 40,000 and 80,000 points in 2015.

I booked the diamond trip and went to Atlantic City 2 weeks ago, and I'm not just about to book my 7 stars trip to Vegas in December.

I would imagine that the actual order in which the trips are completed does not make a difference. Like you, I made 7 stars this year for the first time.

One question, my understanding is that we get $500 folio credit with the 7 stars trip, as well as a one time $500 celebration dinner, is this your experience?

    Thanks!

Yes - those are two different $500 items. The folio credit varies by property (some food only, some you can use spa, others give you the RCs). The Celebration dinner can be used separately, either on your Vegas trip or at your local casino.

Ok thanks...I'm thinking of staying at Planet Hollywood for my 7 stars trip and using the folio credit for Giadia!

FYI: Vegas is my local casino, our closest CET casino is in Atlantic city!

Thanks, Meyers, that is great to know--I still wonder if they have an issue with the order of my trips.

You do get another 7 stars trip next year even with no additional play. It is my understanding that once you are seven stars, they now do NOT give you the diamond aspirations trips in subsequent years even with the required play. They did last year, but supposedly are not doing so this year.

I HOPE the order does not matter. You absolutely do get a $500 credit with your 7 stars trip in addition to the $500 celebration dinner. They can print out the $500 voucher for you at a TR counter and it can be used right away--I have read things about having to reserve the dinner through a host ahead of time which is just not correct.

    I have two additional questions:

    - What ever happened to the $100 dinner you used to get for making diamond (15,000 points). Is that still around or is that the $100 folio credit you get at 40,000?
    - Anyone hear about a birthday gift? I read somewhere that's another 7-stars perk, but I don't see if documented anywhere and I'm not sure if Harrah's sends you something of if your host handles it.

I was able to get the $100 voucher for "making diamond" after I was already 7 stars. I did have to make a bit of a fuss about it. At CP they could not get the computer to generate it, but a TR supervisor hand wrote me a comp slip for $100. That leads me to believe they were doing me a favor, not following the letter of the program. Again, these answers are different depending on which CET employee you encounter.

Never heard of a birthday gift, they may be talking about the gift you get for making 7 stars which can be ordered through the CET website at any time.

I'm a 7* and was in New Orleans two weeks ago for my Diamond Aspirations trip and asked if I could have my $100 dinner voucher at the TR desk. The TR clerk said that once you make 7* for the year you don't get the $100. I just shrugged it off and didn't argue with him. I thought that I used one last year for 2013 even though I was 7* last year also. I'm off to Vegas in 4 weeks I think I'll try getting the $100 dinner again.
I know in AC you can automatically print a voucher at a Kiosk for you birthday the same month as it falls. I'm not sure how it's done elsewhere. At least two years I've gotten an after the fact mailing and missed out.

I'd also like to say earlier this year I missed out on a 7* experience and my host gave me $550 Free Play to make up for it. So my take on this is
see your host if all else fails.

    Update:

I did receive an email back from Total Rewards. I AM entitled to the Diamond aspirations trip this year, with $750 airfare, to be taken before 3/31/15. I was told to contact my host to book it--and he told me yesterday I am not entitled to the diamond trip since I am 7 stars. It does get pretty hilarious dealing with CET and the different answers. I'll forward my main host the email from TR and ask him to get it done. The same host let me combine a free play offer with the 7 stars trip so ideally he will make this one work too and let me piggyback another free play offer with this one.

Off topic, but this is relevant to another thread we had about 7 stars vs Noir. With 7 stars this year, I have the following hard dollar benefits: $1200 airfare, $500 folio credit, $500 celebration dinner, $750 airfare, $100 celebration dinner. That adds up to $3050 in addition to thousands in free play, rooms, food, and beverage comped through the ordinary course of play. I have also received four $500 gift cards for each 50,000 TCs I have earned above 150,000, which can be used for nearly anything in a CET property. In total that is over $5000 in benefits related to the 7 stars program. Not a bad deal. I have never been Noir but from everything I see and read, there are no tangible, hard dollar, guaranteed benefits beyond what your play justifies trip to trip.

I did a similar analysis. You need to add the value of the Seven Stars event (probably a cruise) and also the free NCL cruise (if you took it). You may not want to add the full retail price of the cruise for your comparison - perhaps half. I'm in Chicago, which has one of the few 7-stars lounges. That benefit is priceless.

Agreed, I was just in Atlantic City and my wife and I spent most of our time in the 7 stars lounge....absolutely amazing experience!

Yes, that 7 stars lounge at Horseshoe Hammond is easily the nicest lounge I have seen in the CET system. No reason there should not be a 7 stars lounge at Caesars Palace other than cost savings.

I am primarily a blackjack player but have used VP to get 7 stars. It is easy to get 5000 tier credits per day and the 10,000 tier credit bonus playing VP. In BJ, in rough terms, $800 average bet for 4 hours just about gets you to 5000 TCs for the day and the 10,000 TC bonus. You would need to show 10 days of play like that to make 7 stars--and that is a lot of play. In my view, the loss risked at tables is much, much higher than it would be at VP if 7 stars is your goal.

I don't see many HL blackjack players with 7 stars cards, but many VP players have them. It's a lot harder on tables.

There used to be a 7 Stars lounge at Caesars Palace. They closed it back in, I think it was, March or April 2007 or 2008. I think 2008. My memory is bad. It was a small lounge right off of the 7 Stars registration area, but it was VERY nice. Very comfortable and the food and drink offerings were worlds apart from what is now offered in the diamond lounge. I miss that 7 Stars lounge!

Since nobody else mentioned this, I figured I should. The folio credit is only good at the hotel you are staying at. I tried to use my folio credit at Eiffel Tower Restaurant while staying at Caesars one 7* trip and found out the hard way.

Wow, thanks for the heads up on this, I'd be hard pressed to spend $500 at earl of sandwhich, cause the dining options at PHo are not very good.

I may have to switch to Cromwell or caesars.
