    My Trip Report

First attempt at this but I really enjoy reading them so will give it a shot.

Hotel - enjoy gambling at the Palms but first time staying here. Had a nice room, good view of the strip past the Rio. Everything clean, extremely easy check in and out - really enjoyed their spa - got a great massage and I love a good steam room. Also really liked their sports book - let me reserve 4 chairs for Saturday football with very little hassle - only requirement was a verbal commitment that we would be gambling.

Meals - had 3 great ones - at Del Frisco's, STK at Cosmo, and N9NE at the Palms. 3 great steaks - our entire crew enjoyed all 3 places. If pressed I would say N9NE was the best meal.

    Gambling:

Bought in for $500 in BJ at the Palms - played for a couple of hours - cashed out down $125.

Bought in for $1000 at the Cosmo - turned that into $4500 in an hour and half. Awesome time. Split 3's 4 times then doubled 3 of them against a dealer 6 with $200 a hand on the table. Of course she turned over a 5 and my heart started to flutter - then came a 2 then the 10 and life was good. My favorite hand ever!!!

Next night bought in for another $1000 at Cosmo - played for 2 hours cashed out down $300 but enjoyed myself.

Had two buy in sessions of $500 where I lost it all - once at Palms one at Rio.

Bought in for $1000 at the Cromwell - really liked the casino but couldnt get anything going - lost $600 pretty quickly.

Bought in for $1000 in Craps at the Rio and had a marathon (for me) 8 hour session. Had 4 4pt fire bets including one by yours truly. Each time the 5th point was set but no one could get it. Dont think there was a single PSO the whole time which is remarkable. Cashed out $5300 - very nice run!!

I never go to Vegas that I dont make one run at the Craps tables at Paris - the sight of my all time favorite roll. Blew $500 in 15 minutes - lol - it was brutal.

Had a few more sessions of BJ and Craps but nothing remarkable.

Rough weekend in the sports book as I lost 4 of my 5 football bets while there. Only good news is I left a $1000 bet on the Seahawks behind and got to mail that winner in yesterday!

All told I took $7500 with me and came back with 6000$ plus the winning ticket due in the mail. Where else can you go on vacation and break even and have a blast.

Glad you had a great time with good memories in Vegas. I had gamble at Cromwell three times and not only didn't I win, I was never up. Earlier this month, I sat down at a double deck blackjack table and I lost 11 consecutive hands! So along with Paris, I will never gamble at these 2 places again.

My favorite casinos to gamble are El Cortez (if in downtown), Cosmos, Bally's and Harrah's.

If I quit playing blackjack at every place I'd lost 11 straight hands, I'd have to quit playing blackjack.

Curious as to how you were playing the table (i.e. come bets, place bets, hardways, how much on the line etc.).

    Good luck frank!

I go pass line with max odds- then cover all numbers across - on the first roll after the point is set I do a 25$ horn high 12 - and I do a 2 way hard way if it's the point

After 2 points I start pressing numbers - and inc passline

Aggressive way to play I can be wiped out fairly quickly at a cold table

On my 4 pt roll I was playing next to a guy playing the don't come - he lost 10,000$ on my roll - I hit a ton of 4's and 6's and wiped him out - I actually felt bad for him and kept thinking he would switch to right side or at least stop betting

you mean after someone sets 2 points and makes them right?, (basically 2 winning "hands")
that's how you feel that a heater is starting?

I usually go in after a 5 count on the come out (pt, roll, roll, roll,pt) as long as the devil hasn't popped up by then?
Then I'll start going across (slowly) and pressing

Yes that's correct - two winning hands

Of course everything is subject to change based on the "feel" of the table - lol

well I'm superstitious, because (pt,pt 7pt,pt) could come up and that would be 2 hands, doesn't tell me I'm on a heater

but I'm an anomaly, I rarely roll less than 20 before a 7 comes up, meh
