Most casinos will in the morning. The other option is to walk up to a slow table and tell the dealer you are new, they will usually be more than helpful.

yes. usually around 10AM. might also look for an app/online craps game.
if you get discovery channel, search for a show called "hustling the house" - I watched it last night and it gives a brief intro to several casino games, including craps.

This video looks a little retro but it has great information. I already knew how to play the basics of place bets but i didn't know what the "come" and "dont come" meant and many more but now I have a good grasp and I went to vegas for Labour day weekend and craps is the one game I made money.

If you're a low-roller like me, bet the pass and then lay 1-2x the odds and hope the shooter hits at least 1-2 points and then I bet the come with house money or just press the odds on the pass line.

Anyways, it's a great video to watch. Enjoy.

This is basically all you need to know to get your feet wet and have a good time and to have a chance at a nice win without losing your bankroll in 5 minutes.

Nothing like being there and trying it out for yourself. Plenty of videos on learning craps but can't beat actually playing and taking some lessons and then trying it out for yourself.

I can't guarantee that all or most casinos offer craps lessons. Some casinos have a sign offering craps lessons at a certain time. As another poster also mentioned, if you go during the slow times (an empty table in the morning is best) you might be able to get some dedicated instruction on playing craps. That isn't always the case though, some pit crew are impatient and not really interested in helping you so best get a feel of the pit crew first (ask about getting assistance learning the game).

The you tube videos are good. Definitely start there.
I think I have seen lessons mostly offered on MGM properties like Excalibur and NYNY.
Have not seen signs at PH, Ballys or Paris. Doesn't mean they don't but rather don't seen the signs as I have seen before.

Check places like Flamingos, Ballys or Paris for an empty table.
As others mention tell them you are new and want to play.

The other option is to watch and even ask one of the players. Craps players are mostly very friendly and usually eager to share information.

Start with a $5 table and slow play for a bit.

It won't be long before you are hooked and tossing chips on the table and calling out all sorts of bets.

I read a book by John Patrick and downloaded the iPhone app "Aww Craps" and those both helped me. Plus my boss is a total craps degen so he gave me a lot of good advice.

My first time was at Bill's at about 4am and the table was dead. I waited until late so no one else would be there and the crew helped me a lot.

Good luck and have fun! It is the most exciting game in the casino by far

Just make sure when they're explaining the rules, you don't say the forbidden word while at the table...seven...if you say it and the shooter sevens out, you'll have the whole table giving you dirty looks.

I'm sure most places will be happy to help you if the table is slow. Just don't expect a lot of help if the table's hopping. Might even get slapped around by the other player if you slow the game down. ;)
