The play is on the Dallas Cowboys winning under 8/7.5 games.

This team will be lucky to win 6 games this year and that is IF Romo stays healthy, which he will not. There is no way he wil play all 16 games this year. Then you will be left with Brandon Weeden as the QB. I know very well about the procedure he had don to his back and there is no way he makes it all the way. I think he is injured in the first 4 weeks of the season and done for the year. They will have the worst defense in the NFL and when Romo is gone the offense will no longer be capabe of keeping them in games.

Jump on this ship before it gets to 7. This is as close to a gimmie as Vegas ever gives. Unload!!

Never understood the appeal of the full season over/unders. Not enough payback and ties up money for a long time. Futures that pay 6:1 etc I understand.

Lifelong Cowboys fan here, but sadly enough I have to agree that this bet is a no-brainer. Jerry Jones built a beautiful stadium for them to lose in. His arrogance in thinking he's GM material has almost single-handedly destroyed the team.

Don't worry... he's dead wrong about the Cowboys this year. 8 games is almost a given. I'm loading up on the over.

Cbwboys to win the Super Bowl at 20-1 odds. That's a future.

These season long total futures tie up your money for the entire season but you basically get 1-1 odds on them less the juice.

    Personal prediction?

The actual over/unders are wildly different: http://www.betvega.com/nfl-teams-over-under-season-wins-total/

I have to agree on the Cowboys, I think the Texans are a lock for an under as well, how will they get overs when they have Fitzpatrick throwing them the ball?

LOL! I don't think you read BigGTMike's comment.

He basically said he couldn't understand tying up money at 1:! for an entire season long bet as a future. At 6:1 he could understand the appeal... not that he'd ever bet that.

He said nothing about having a smart one to bet on.

I hope they hit the under! Living in Cowboys territory and listening to the fans angst when they struggle is nice.

BigGTMIke didn't post a title to his thread. Chonglo posted the title of this thread and said the smart money was on the Cowboys under.

Check your screws. You have one on the loose!

The entire NFC East is messy. Any one of those teams could possibly run the table within the division. Or go winless...
I'm not sure any of the 4 teams are actually fielding a defense.

Dallas will have the worst defense in the NFL this year by a good margin.

    "Ties up your money"

I agree. Anyone worried about their money being tied up in a bet shouldnt be betting.

Highly unlikely. There were so many injuries last year that it's hard to compare the two since there are relatively few injuries this season. Hatcher and Lee are the only real losses to the team. Ware barely played last season. And Hatcher was a fluke since he'd done nothing the rest of his time in Dallas. There will be another fluke like him this season. Heck, Melton is probably your boy.

But how many defenses have been historically bad back-to-back years? Bad, yes, but historically bad? Breaking records bad? None that I can remember.

And, let's just say they are historically bad again. Dallas was a single game away from making the post season again last season and probably lost the last game at home because of Romo being out. All while having a historically bad defense. They did so because of the offense being so strong. In fact, the offense is probably even stronger this year as they are being predicted to have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.

Now, does that translate into 14 wins? Probably not. But I think they win more than 5 or 6.

And they've won 8 the last three years in a row. So, I'm thinking they get to at least 8 wins this season. Maybe 9.

But, if you're really going to put your money on it, you're doing so because you think Romo will get hurt and nothing else. People did say the same after Manning came back from "career ending" neck surgery and, of course, he broke the NFL record for TDs last season.

Just sayin'... but good luck anyways!

The bitch about the futures bet is if you do get in the superbowl (like Seattle last year at 7-1) you can't hedge the bet if they are the dog by playing the moneyline on the other side as it costs too much...I've read if you like a team like Detroit say to win it all,Just play whatever you would on the future bet WHEN they get in playoffs on the moneyline and Parlay the profit also on all games they continue to win..Lets say +180 ML wild card next game + 140 keep compounding that until the SB where you have a choice instead of do or die..
Tired from work, but hope this post makes some sense to someone..:blah:
