This is such a nice group of people to be communicating with! This is my first message board experience--what better than Vegas as the subject!!
I have a question though. Sometimes (usually  ) I forget to log off as I "leave" the board. Is this a problem? Should I try to do it each time or does it not really matter? It definitely makes posting messages easier/faster if I don't have to log in each time, but I'll do it if I should. (I feel dumb to have to ask the question. redface.gif ) Thanks for your help!
Sonya should be able to tell us for sure, but I don't think you need to log off. Since this is not a chat room, we don't see when you are logged on or off. Staying logged on just makes it easy when you want to type a quick reply.
PS: I don't think I've logged off in two months.

No, I don't log off either. When I go to this site I'm just logged in automatically everytime. Welcome!!! :D

I haven't logged off either since Sonya renewed her lease.
With regard to being a friendly message board I have to agree wholeheartedly. We are quite a diverse group in many ways......700 strong from all over the US and Canada and international as well. I am involved in a couple of message boards for trades that I am in and have bookmarked and visited a couple of other LV chat rooms or message boards and checking them recently was surprised how nasty, confrontational and mean spirited they were.
Sonya has set the tone, and while we don't always agree, we have been able to express our opinions comfortably as we show respect to others. I sure hope that continues. I thank all those who have offered advice to me and hope that I have helped others with what I have been able to offer.
Kudos to all the members of travel2vegas.com!

Well said Jim! I too have enjoyed my visits here. I have been to other boards and the tone is not as friendly as here. This is the first place I check every morning to see what can help me prepare for my upcoming trip! :D

Wow.. all these warm fuzzies! :D You're going to give me a big ego if you're not careful. tongue.gif
To answer the original question... the only reason you should log off is if you are using a public computer or a computer in a place where other people will have access to it. I have my own computer in my office at home and nobody is allowed to touch it under penalty of death. smile.gif I have been logged into this board since 1999... don't think I've logged off yet.
At my parents' house however, the computer in the family room is accessed by my mom, dad, sister, niece, nephew and whomever else happens to be visiting. The danger of staying logged in is that someone else could log in as you, post something naughty here and get you locked out or banned. So far, this hasn't happened, but if a number of people have access (dorm room, office, library computer, etc.), you might want to log out when you're done.
