Will be at the Flamingo the end of July. I have read on this board that a lot of the strip hotels have tightened their comps for the "casual" player. I am a $10-15 BJ player so is it any use to get a player's card at the Flamingo? Also are there any casinos in that area that have "looser" comps?
Thanks

Putting comps and Flamingo in the same sentence constitutes an oxymoron. All park place properties are about as tight as a ducks ass for freebies. 10 to 15 per hand would get you proper recognition downtown. And maybe at some of the older smaller properties on the strip.

Which older strip properties would you suggest?

Tropicana, Stardust, Riviera, Frontier, Casino Royal, Imperial and Boardwalk to name a few.

One thing to remember--do you actually want the comps at the casino where you're playing....We love to gamble at Boardwalk, but REALLY don't want a comp to eat at the buffet there! Just something to keep in mind....

I stayed at the Trop in March '03 and found the comps to be pretty nice. I joined their club, and got 2 free tickets to their magic show and 2 free tickets to the Folies Borgeire (sp?) for what seemed like a pretty low amount of play ($5-$10 BJ for a couple hours). Not sure if they just needed to fill the seats or what, but I thought that was a pretty good deal.
