We will be in Vegas Oct 5-9.
We have been staying at the Nugget for over 8 yrs and have been thinking about a change since they are going to MGM system.
We got great airfare deal and couldn't book in time to get to the Nugget for a free slot tourney, and they wouldn't comp me without it.
I have a friend who recently folled her host from the Trop to Harrahs and asked for her name.
Called her up, told her I was mad at the Nugget over the tourney deal, wanted to "change alliances" and when we were coming in.
She said she could get us a room.... "no, a suite" graemlins/biggthumpup.gif and could I please give her our flight info for the limo graemlins/eek5.gif
I couldn't figure out why she would do this without even asking about my play, if I had a Total Rewards card or anything! Finally figured she knew what kind of play the Nugget required for free tourneys and offered based on that.
Regardless of "why", we are pleased as punch to be staying on the strip after an extended absence.
The moral is --- always ask! You never know what might happen.
BTW: The two of us are traveling from Lubbock, TX RT on Southwest for $101 each. $202 for 4 nights, RT air, suite and a limo for two people. How can you not love this town graemlins/beerchug.gif
