Anyone out there ever get comps when they were not even looking for them? I e-mailed the VP of Slot and Table Marketing at the hotel I stayed at last time from the website. I'm planning a trip back to Vegas this year with some friends and was interested in seeing if any of us qualified to get the Casino Rate based on last years play. Anyway, like about 20 minutes later, I get a message on my cell phone AND an e-mail telling me that they looked up my card number and based on my play they could offer me full RFB on my next stay. Which kinda shcoked me seeing as how for the most part I was only a red chip bettor. I was playing anywhere from $2 to 2 hands of $15-$20 at blackjack. Now I know I played alot over 5 days, but I don't even thikn they rated me for some of the play. They only had me down for $15 a hand for 21 hours. Would $15 a hand for an average of a little over 4 hours a day rate this? Then to top it off, I'm leaving on Thursday for Vegas with my girlfriend, and last night I get a call from the Casino Host. I was like, ok, the ruse is up. They figure out that they made a huge mistake LOL. The host was offering me 2 floor seats to the Paul McCartney Concert at the MGM. I'm not a big Beetles fan, always prefered the Stones and the Who, but I'll take it.

Anyone else ever get something like this? I keep waiting for a catch. I only dropped $300 of my own money last time I was there. I had some pretty good luck on some of the early days of the trip, so maybe they are counting the $500 I was up too, for a total loss of $800. Even so though, I'm still suprised by this treatment for that little a loss.

My dad and his wife keep getting free suites at Bellagio.... We're asking "How the heck much money are you gambling there"

"Not much, just a little in the slots" Well heck, to get those gorgeous suites AND free food....I think they're spending more than what we consider "a little in the slots". But at least Dad did invite us to lunch there with them once :D

I'm still a bit suprises by it all. Anyway, some of you wanted to know which hotel it was. I didn't include it because I didn't want to seem like I was schilling for them. I will say though, that it is a smaller place in the neighborhood of the MGM. It's not an MGMMirage, Park Place or Mandaly Property either. Some would probably consider it a Third Tier Hotel, if you look at MGM Grand as Second Tier and Venitian, Bellagio and Four Season's as 1st tier.

Nobody is going to think you're a shill for saying what hotel you got good comps at. smile.gif I'd guess Monte Carlo, but you said that it wasn't an MGM Mirage property.

If you were rated at $20-25 a hand for 4-5 hours a day, I can see you getting great comps at a 3rd tier hotel. $15 I'd be surprised that it was an RFB with extras like McCartney tickets, but I wouldn't call you a liar. smile.gif Stranger things have happened. :D

So which hotel is it?

Okay lets look at this...

21 hours at 15/hand. 15-25 a hand for 4 hours gets you a room comp from what i'm told. That alone would get you 4 nights. Now the floor seats are a mystery, but a welcome one I imagine. Sometimes, it all in the computer what they offer you. I was just sent a flyer from the Monte Carlo today from the time I was there for a few hours playing craps and hit a hot table. 3 free nights, and some other perks that I haven't called and found out about. I'll take it!

The San Remo isn't a bad little place to gamble at. Not much to look at, but hey it all spends the same!

Hi Hoya Heel !!

Don'take it seriously what your father told you,yes it may be a nice story but it's better not to know how much money he put in the slots.Specially Bellagio is not soooo generous, but anyway you had a nice lunch and he had a lot of pleasure in his suit!!!
