View Full Version : Do wagerworks change their prizes often?
I've got what I wanted (2 x Bellagio buffet, 2 x Mirrage Buffet, 2 x MGM buffet and 2 x EFX tickets (thanks wagerworks :D )), does the site tend to change prizes?
I've been using it since late December and have noticed no changes and want to know if it's worth bulding up some more points.

How did you get all that? It seems like I've been hitting the mouse button forever and I've only racked up around 900 points. :(
Not sure I should realy say ;) although I will elaborate if Sonya is happy for me to do so.

nbg, you can say if you want to. Know that they have rules against auto-play programs and if you use them, they can refuse to accept your points. But I'm not telling you not to do whatever you want to do. :D
I haven't seem that many changes in the prizes. Some disappear or reappear later, but basically the prizes have been just about the same since the beginning from what I can remember.

Thanks Sonya. I'll pass my brief experience on.
Here is a cut 'n paste from a ramble I did to a friend recently Please note that Sonya, myself or the Trave2Vegas accept no responsibility for a user breaking any terms/conditions/rules of the wagerworks programme)
There are 3 ways of 'doing' wagerworks
1. Just play the games, you've got to give it 100% attention and rack up prize points VERY slowly.
2. Just build up points playing banana rama and then build up prize points by just repeatedly hammering the play button (using max credits) on phantom belle, you can build up quite a few consistently this way.
3. Download mouse machine from www.download.com (http://www.download.com) and set up to left click on the play button every 2 seconds and walk away. The very quickest way of building up prize points is to let it loose on hot reels, it will gain you a point every 5 seconds or so, although you do have to nip back to the machine regularly and click on the out of points sign to give you more. This method relies on a good connection either a clean 56K modem, ISDN, ASDL, or Cable Modem) - this will give you maybe 500 points an hour

I agree with Sonya. The prizes have been pretty much the same since the beggining. I used it with much success on our last trip. We ended up with 4 buffets, 4 roller coaster tickets and 2 dolphin habitat tickets. My 25 year old son and his wife went with us so that really helped them out. I have to tell you the the dolphin habitat was wonderful!!!!!!! The buffets were too but I never see anyone talk about the dolphins and we really loved it. We spent about 3 hours there. I love the line passes you get when you get the buffets. We started working as soon as we got back on next trip for points and between husband and I we have about 20000 already so it can be done. We were going for the free nights at Belagio but now that Trop is sending all this free stuff not sure I want to move. lol

Mello - I love the Dolphin Habitat and try to chat it up whenever I can. I think it's a great way to spend an afternoon for $10.
Lamblover - I don't see that small font. What browser are you using? What screen resolution are you using? (I'm on IE 5.0 at 1024x760) I'm not sure if they require you to have flash or shockwave installed, but I assume they require something. Are you able to play the games at all?
If you go here - http://www.wagerworks.com/questions.html#TechIssues they might be able to help you better than I can.
I left the dolphin habitat out, I don't do show's or exhibits that feature what should be wild animals in captivity :(

I have this problem at work on a 15" TFT monitor, I'd suggest maybe using a screen resolution of 800 x 600 if you've got a smaller screen.

I noticed that they added to the amount of prizes about mid January. I haven't been using the site long enough to really know how often they change their offers.

nbg - I ususally don't go to places with marine animals in captivity, but I was really impressed with the info I got from them about the facilities and the program.
I have been a huge advocate for Keiko but wish he would have been kept in Oregon at the aquarium. He can't take care of himself in Iceland and Oregon was a great place for him to thrive. I feel the same way about the animals at Sigfriend & Roy's Secret Garden. I was very skeptical but we spent a couple of hours talking to the handlers of the dolphins and I really liked what they had to say and how they run the program.
You can read more about the programs here - http://www.siegfriedandroy.com/Garden.htm

I found out that if you go to "View" at the top of your screen, and click on "Full Screen" it makes everything in Wagerworks a lot larger and easier to see. When you're done, just click the minimize button once or twice to get the regular screen size back. Hope this helps!
Sonya, I'm sorry, but we will have to agree to disagree on this one.
I believe that creatures should not be held for amusement, however its dressed up. The 'habitats' and shows are for the casinos benefit, not the creatures.

My 2 cents also on this. The facility houses only dolphins that were relocated from other facilities or born right here. No animals are taken from the wild for this project. These are animals that were not in a good environment origanlly. The breeding program is to help understand and preserve the dolphins. At no time are these dolphins ASKED to perform. They do what they want and they seem very happy. I do not want to argue either but the whole purpose is to preserve and educate the public. I am sure it takes a substantional amount of money to do this so I do not feel that any way is the casino getting rich off of me watching a gift of nature. I am not amused by these animals. I love the gift. I will admit that to watch them and see them I cried several times. If I saw them mistreated in any way I would be the first to agree with you. I think the program is wonderful. Sometimes we have over stepped our bounds so much in the world and this is the only choice left for us to preserve all things. Take the White Lions for instance. There are only a few left. But there are at least a few there and someone at least has heart enough to try. I wish trully that all creatures could be where they were and live in total freedom. But realistly it just is not true. If people learn preservation from this exibit then we all gain.
Thanks for the post mello, you did raise some interesting points, most that I don't agree with, but I can see that they are close to your heart.
It would be a dull world if we all shared the same opinions smile.gif

Thanks for understanding Matt. I am glad we can post here and not have all the crap the other boards do if someone thinks a different way than others. It really is nice to be here.
