Free food while gambling

I want to sit at the bar eat nachos or hot wings while playing video poker or black jack. I know they will give you free drinks, but what about food?

I'm thinking you'll only get the free food if you have been gambling before that and ask to be comped. If you are only into the machines find out if their slot club offers any deals.

I'm still pretty new to the whole "comps" idea, last time in Vegas I was pretty green so after playing roulette for 4 hours I probably could have been comped at least a buffet, but I didn't know to ask. Oh Well!

If you've got any gambling history at the casino, ask a host. I know that we've gotten a meal comp at the Main Street Station Brew Pub just for asking and we've played VP while eating and drinking in there. But it wasn't like a drink comp at the bar... it was something our host gave us before we went inside.
