Tropicana - Video Poker

My wife and I thought we might try some video poker at the Tropicana in May. Does anyone know if the Tropicana has '9/6 Jacks or Better' and (or) 'Full Pay Deuces Wild'?

We picked up Bob Dancer's Win Poker version 6.0 and the pocket Strategy Charts for several games including 9/6 Jacks or Better and Dueces Wild.

Since we'll be gambling mostly at the Tropicana (6 days), I was hoping someone knows if either of those VP machines are available there. Deuces Wild does seem difficult to learn but I'll spend some time practicing with Win Poker 6.0 and hopefully I'll be able to play without having to look at the Strategy Chart for every hand.

I prefer playing blackjack and my wife usually plays the slots but VP would give us another option. I'd hate to spend the time studying/learning 'Full Pay Deuces Wild' or '9/6 Jack or Better' and then get there and find out the Tropicana doesn't have these VP machines.

This website lists generous video poker machines, but it doesn't look like it has been updated recently--it also doesn't mention Tropicana. The Tropicana webpage doesn't have information on the payouts (not that I expected it would ;) ) I looked at a couple other websites (www.thewizardofodds.com) to see if anyone said anything about the payouts there, no luck so far. Hope someone has actually played there and might know smile.gif

I know they had FP JOB but I'm not sure about Dueces. The casino is spread all over heck and gone but I found them between the pit and the show lounge. Every place else was poor pay. Course this was a little over a year ago and they love to move machines around and/or delete them. Think you will find some but it'll require a little searching.

It was reported last week that there are a total of 4 DW machines at the Trop in 2 different locations.

I had a lot of good luck at the bar inside the Trop. playing bj on their vp machine that was actually built inside the bar there. Between the wife and I we won aprox. $300 bucks in about an hours time while waiting on the Rick Thomas show to start. Thats the first place on our list of hotels to gamble in because we won mostly there than any other casino.

There are full pay JOB and Deuces Wild at the San Remo, next door to the Trop (behind the Trop on Tropicana Ave.) Also, I played on some JOB full pay machines at NYNY, diagonally across the strip from the Tropicana.

Thanks to all who responded. I missed the post on 3/18 that said the Tropicana has full pay JOB. So now I know that the Tropicana had (and hopefully still has) both FPDW and 9/6 Jacks or Better. Thanks again! Now, I just need to find the time to practice with Win Poker 6.0. Eight more weeks to go...

Glad to hear that you can win some money at the Tropicana because that is where we are staying at in April. Looking forward to it.
