I am toying with the idea to become a proffesional gambler. I play craps and win constantly, I have tracked it over the years as I have gone out there. I know the risks, but I have a good bankroll to start out with and can afford to lose every now and then. I live in San Diego, so I would have to fly out there every week. I can get the specials on SW airlines and every 5th flight is free so that won't be an issue. I guess the question is, if there are pro gamblers out there, what rules do you stick by? Units in and out, etc...
Also, since I will be there every week I was wondering if you needed a moderator for any other forum? I will do my best to provide great info for all the folks! Thanks.

Well, i'm replying to my own message! lol
First weekend of trying to actually "earn" money from playing craps was successful. Arrived Saturday around 10:00am to get to the Bellagio for breakfast and the task at hand. On the plane I basically made an agreement with myself that I was there to clear $350, no more. When I was done with breakfast (excellent btw) I went to a craps table that was really quiet and proceeded to lose $100 in 10 minutes. That stunk, but rome wasn't built in a day I always say! I moved to the $10 dollar table and my luck changed quickly. Made the $100 back in no time plus I was up another $100 as well. This guy kept rolling 5's, it was amazing. I looked at my watch and 4 hours had passed and I was up $200. I actually thought about quitting because I was tired for some reason, but that changed when this lady stepped to the table. I always love women rollers, they are lucky in my opinion! She was great. Hit her point 5 times while getting some great hradways in the meantime. She rolled for 45 minutes, and when I looked down I was up to $850. This was it, I STOPPED!!! What luck for my first trip. It was around 6:00 pm and I really had no interest in spending the night so I went to VIP services to see what I had accumulated and headed to the airport and paid an extra $60 bucks to get on a flight back to SD.
Last time I saw Wink Martendale, this time I saw the Survivor host, the name escapes me!

Congrats on your big win. I wish I could get one of those. I saw your original message and I had planned on going back to it after giving it some thought. Unfortunately I got distracted and forgot.. I do that a lot lately. Can't be a sign of old age can it? http://www.travel2vegas.com/ubb/smile.gif
I'm always reluctant to support anyone who says they are going to be a professional gambler, especially with a game like craps. I know there are people out there like Bob Dancer who play positive expectation video poker for a living. They have the bankroll to ride the lows out and know that mathematically, in the long run, they will come out ahead. They know the special deals and play them when they find them.
A game like craps gives the casino the advantage in the long run. Although the edge is small, it is still an edge. If you worked the comps game well, you might come out ahead if you include room and food comps in your equation, but in the long run, mathematically it just doesn't work out.
I hear a lot of people say that they have a system or an edge that proves they will win, but mathematically I can't seem to make it work. http://www.travel2vegas.com/ubb/smile.gif
I certainly wish you the best of luck and hope that you're able to prove me and math wrong. I love to hear success stories. http://www.travel2vegas.com/ubb/wink.gif
