i boosted my adt tremendously this first quarter and was wondering what kinda of offers i'd get...

it's unlikely to change as i believe they're a quarter behind. i had a low-play trip last summer and my fall offers were fine, but even though i had a huge quarter last fall, my winter offers still went to crap. but then my spring offers rebounded to the best ever because they were based on last fall's play. so you probably won't see your offers change significantly until this fall.

and the summer offers will probably come out later this month.

I am in the same boat. Played alot in January so hoping my offers get better. As soon as May 1st came around a lot of offers dropped off Mlife and I only have one offer for NY NY that is valid in July.

I tend to schedule trips at the start of the traditional calendar quarters for whatever reason, and I always wonder if this helps or hurts me.

I am actually set for July since I contacted a host and got a decent offer. You may want to try this also. I am far from a high roller and the host doesnt have a lot of flexibility with my offers versus Mlife but it is worth checking into.

I'm not sure. My on-line offers dropped off, but got a suite one from my host for MGM for this week. Also my mail offers seem to be keeping up, got 3 this week.
Honestly, I've been a loyal MGM Grand visitor. I play at other MGM properties, and while I get decent offers from them, the best are from MGM and NYNY (where I likely play most the next). Even with the M-Life program, they seem to be property-centric.

All my offers expire on June 30th and include $100 FP and 3 nights stay.

Excalibur did send me this summer offer though:

•Special rates from $24 per night Sun -Thu and $64 per night Friday and Saturday
•$50 in FREEPLAY or Promotional Chips
•$75 in Neighborhood Resort Credit
•VIP Services check-in

Offer dates: 4/25/2011 - 8/31/2011

This is the only Summer offer I've received and from this casino only. I hope to get a few others. Also, this is the first time I'm seeing this "neighborhood resort credit" deal. Anyone else have something similar or know what this means?

somebody else reported an offer from TI with a "strip credit". this may be similar. it sounds like they may be offering to comp you at other hotels on the strip?

I have noticed, my offers don't show up in mlife.com at all. Despite getting offers from hotels for comped rooms via email. Quite annoying actually that they stopped providing a list of what was available to me.

Also, if you are a "low roller", here is a statement from MGM stating that they are cutting their "low roller" comps, and that it is such a wonderful idea:
http://www.vegastripping.com/news/news.php?news_id=4028

Don't think this has gotten as much pub as the Venetian cutting its comps though.

there's two types of offers. the ones that come directly from the individual casinos and the ones that come from MGM corporate. only the MGM corporate offers show up in mlife.com. the individual casino offers are completely separate from corporate.

as far as mlife reducing comps to the low-rollers, that has been obvious for months. however, it's not like V/P that has completely cut their comps for low-rollers. it's just that they used to give out way more than people were deserving at the lower levels and they were losing money. if you show up with $500 in your pocket and they give you a room for 3 nights, a $200 F&B credit and $200 in freeplay, they're guaranteed to lose money on you before you even show up. that's the kind of offers people used to get. now this type of player is getting something like 2 nights at a lower-end property with no F&B or freeplay, which is much more inline with what they deserve.

now what has pissed me off about what they've done is almost completely cut out freeplay/promo chips at Bellagio/MGM/Aria even for higher end players. but that's another thread altogether.

I agree, I just got back from a comped room at MGM where I would normally get some promo chips to go along with the room. So, I asked them about it, and they stated that they no longer provide promo chips. That could have just been for me, but when I was used to getting them in the past, now get none, it was a bit of a let down.

I am not necessarily waiting for better offers - but since my spring offers end June 30th - I too have been waiting for the summer offers - since I am hoping for something for the beginning of July. I only have a host at Mandalay Bay and I could contact him - but I am travelling with my daughter and she really wants to stay at Bellagio or Aria. Already had the host book my week in August at THEHotel for my trip with my husband.

I am guessing that the summer offers won't come out until either later this month or in early June since my winter offers all ended March 31st and the spring offers did not show up until March 10th.

Not sure that anyone really knows for sure except maybe MRI - so I am trying to be patient :grrr:

If nothing shows up by the end if the month I will probably try calling and if they can't offer me anything we will probably just keep our booking at TI. It will be the first time I have paid for a room is a longtime - but they were a lot less than Bellagio and Aria for the same dates and if I am going to pay - well I don't want to pay too much

that is what they say, but if you get high enough up the chain, what you hear is their promo chips have not been discontinued, they've just been severely reduced. that means no more promo chips for lower end players and much fewer promo chips for mid-high level players. whales will still get their normal alotment. i can still get some promo chips at MGM and Aria, but about 1/4 what i used to get and none at Bellagio. hosts used to have carte blanche to give you just about whatever they wanted in promo chips.

if you have a host at MB, just call up Bellagio or Aria and ask to speak with a host. they'll look up your account and if you qualify they'll forward you right over. they may say they can't put you in touch with a host, but it's worth trying. no sense in paying for something you could have gotten for free.

and the summer offers will probably come out later this month.

It's later, and they're still not here! I can't remember it taking this long under the "old" system. I'm trying to get a trip together for 4th of July Weekend, and they're killing me here.

My offers right now are $100 FP + 3 nights pretty much anywhere, and I'm also deathly afraid they're going to drop off the map with the next quarter since I had a previous trip with nearly no play on their radar. I'm considering booking for the last week of June in case they drop, and just canceling if the July offers are decent.

Based on the offers you have now, you most likely are tier 8 on the corporate radar. Right now I am tier 9 (not as good as 8) and I was able to get a decent offer for July by emailing a host. You may want to try this route.

I am starting to get offers for July from individual MLife properties, but the corporate offers won't be out until next month. If you havent had any play chances are you will drop to tier 9 or possibly (if you stiffed them last time) to tier 10. If you havent had any play since the last corporate offers came out I would suggest you try and book for July now. An email or a call to a host may help. Also, try calling the players club reservations line, they may be behind on putting the offers on MLife.com

Still no new offers - however when I checked my MLife account last night - the spring offer that I had for Aria - showed that the offer date was good until July 31/2011 - but had to be booked by June 30/2011. I am pretty sure it originally ended June 30/2011.

I called and indicated that the offer also indicated that I should call to speak to an Executive Host. So - I now have a host at Aria and she has set me up to stay July 1-4th :wiggle: It does pay to keep checking your account and thanks for the advice on calling - although it did not work for Bellagio  oh well - I guess I will have to take my daughter back again - just so she can try Bellagio :evillaugh

Just a question how do you know what tier level you are at. Looked at all my email offers and cant figure it out

AB2Vegas
05-19-2011, 09:55 PM
Back in March, I received an email from Aria. Probably came from them - since my last 3 stays had been at Aria. The email looked like the offer was from Aria - but was titled "This is the City. MLife IS THE CARD. At the bottom of the offer was a button "CLICK HERE FOR ALL YOUR MLife OFFERS".

When I click on the link - another web page opens that displays all the corporate offers for all MRI properties. The actual page is
http://www.mgmresorts.com/offers/2011/01_q2_casino_newsletter/landing_tier4s.html

So the tier4s in the link indicates that I am receiving tier 4 offers for slot players. If the link has 4t - I believe that would indicate for table players. Not sure what you get if you play both tables and slots - unless they base it on which you play the most.

This is the only place I have ever seen the offer tier level. I don't believe this is directly related to your card level of gold/platinum etc. since some platinum card holders would get tier 3, 2 or 1 offers. So this just the tier level used for the corporate offers.

I hope this helps. Not an expert - but I think this is how you can tell.

damn i just noticed im tier 14!!! aka a nobody to mgm! but it's weird cause mgm has given me comp rooms twice already this year. ive given them a lot of play the last two months and moved up to pearl so i'm hoping that that at least bumps me up to tier 12 for the most basic comps next quarter. i didn't play on that card much before so im thinking that's why i'm tier 14 lol.

i'm gonna see what they offer next quarter, if no comps i'll go back to harrah's card. i used to get comps whenever i wanted for most hotels

You may already be in a higher tier. Most likely when you get the third quarter email, your new tier will be reflected.

Actually, I am starting to get confused with MLife. I have been giving most of my play to the MGM Grand, and I am coming again in July on a nice offer. But, my MLife website shows free rooms at NYNY, MonteCarlo, MB, and THEhotel; and I just got a new offer from MGM Grand and it was just a reduced rate of $39......:grrr: The promotion was called The Buzz, and their was a second offer talking about $100 freeplay each month of the promotion. Guess I will wait and see what the email offer will say when I get it.

That sounds good! I just got back from a trip and played enough to move up to Pearl status. So I am hoping for some good summer offers for my next trip in late August. I have not stayed at Aria or Bellagio, so at the very least I am hoping for reduced rates there if not comped.

unfortunately 25k tier points in a visit is not going to get you comped at Aria or Bellagio. the other thing is that the corporate offers are a few months behind as far as the play they look at, so your summer offers are going to be based on older play, like last winter and this recent trip won't be taken into account until the fall offers come out.

Don't be so sure about that tier -- I've got exactly 2551 tier points, have never had more than that since Mlife began, and I'm a Tier 8 in offers with a complimentary room at Aria or Bellagio for three nights and $100 freeplay, according to the Spring offers.

25k tier points won't be enough for an on-the-spot comp but depending on how quick you earned them, you may be able to get something in the corporate offers that's nicer than you're expecting.

(Still waiting for the Summer ones since my next trip is July 3rd, they're killing me here.)

that's because the spring offers were the first offers in the new Mlife system so they were based on play before Mlife. you obviously last visited when it was still the Player's club so you haven't earned any Mlife tier points. once you actually make a visit with Mlife and see how many tier points you earn on that visit, that will give you a better idea were you really stand.

have you tried calling up the customer care line at the hotel you want to stay at and giving them your dates and seeing what they can offer you? whether it works or not i guess depends on your level of play and who you get on the phone, but a lot of people without hosts have reported doing this and the hotel has given them a nice offer. and whenever the Mlife offers come out if they are better than what the hotel gave you, call back and cancel and rebook the new offer.

I've got a "backup plan" at two different properties right now (one MGM and one not), which is why a lot of my concern dissipated. I still think it's asinine that it's June and we don't have any offers for July yet. They're not where I *want* to stay, but I'll stay there rather than paying for someplace else.

As far as contacting the hotels directly -- I tried that at both Bellagio and Aria, which are both comped 3 nights and $100 freeplay for me through June 30th, and neither of them would do anything except book me at rack rate and offer to reduce it if I get a renewed offer for that period. Not good enough.

I called the customer hotline and thats when I was told the offers get posted the 1st week of June. They told me to contact my hosts. I dont mind booking through a host if I was making the trip alone. But since my wife likes to hop around and I cant funnel most of my play at homebase (for my host to get credit) I would rather book a corporate offer. I'd still play with my MLife card so they dont care if I bounce around.

I always get 100 dollars local free play 2 times each month from Mandalay Bay. This is the first month in over a year I didn't get it (and I have been playing around the same amount). Sometimes it shows up on MLIFE but it's always loaded on the machine on the first and 16th of the month. So..........this could be a bad sign that they're cutting back (even more than we already knew about).

none of those offers ever show on my Mlife page either. most of my Mlife offers are for concerts or Beau Rivage events because i go there frequently.

i love Bellagio. if you can get them to set you up with a Penthouse suite with a fountain view, you won't be disappointed. if not, the Bellagio suite is very nice as well, although it's in the Spa Tower. personally, i kind of like being in the Spa Tower, but it's a bit of a walk from the casino.

i know VegasBJ would choose the Skylofts over the B anyday, but for me it's really a toss up. i like the great service and the fancy technology at Skylofts, but my wife likes the Bellagio Penthouse separate bathrooms/closet setup better. and i much prefer the Bellagio casino and hotel vibe than the MGM casino and vibe. i really love Le Cirque at the B, but i really like Shibuya and Craftsteak at MGM.

i also don't like how nearly impossible it is to get a 2BR Skyloft when i'm bringing friends or even to get a 1BR Skyloft on busy weekends. i've had no problems getting a 2BR suite at Bellagio any day of the year, which is convenient.

so i generally alternate between the two - one on one trip and the other on the next trip.

Come on Shifter, you know why. Skyloft rooms are cream of the crop, there are only 60 of them, and that is between 1-2-3 bedrooms. They are hard to come by. On busy weekends, there are 60 higher end players than us in the casino. There are way more (hundreds) of Bellagio 2 bd suites, so they are easier to come by. I also think that the 1 bd. Skyloft takes a higher level of play than even a Bellagio 2 bd suite.

Duster, I have stayed in a Cirrus (?) suite before at the B and it was very nice as well. There are only like 10 of them in the whole hotel, and they overlook the fountains and lake. From LV blvd, if you are looking at the B, they are the rounded cupola looking rooms that are right in the middle of the building. They are the first rooms off the elevator, and are the 10 floors right above the Villas so you get to look down on those to really see what nice living is.

i think on a normal weekend it's about $900 avg bet for a 1BR at RFB, which is comparable to a 1BR Pent or a 2BR Bellagio suite at the B

I am thinking I just need to stay away from the Aria this trip. When it comes to rooms, it is simply Sky Suite, or Sky Suite Penthouse. Don't get me wrong, great rooms and a nice hotel, but I think I need to give Bellagio a try. As far as Sky Lofts, I think BJ hit it on the head.....I am not one of the top 60 "rollers" on any given weekend.

I have also seen a lot of chatter about Promo Chips. What kind of chips are you guys (shifter and BJ) seeing on any given trip??? Last time I got 1,000 from the Aria, but my host said he had to get corporate approval. Not sure if I have the wrong host or what, but he has always taken care of us in everything else that we do. I will never forget what he said last time I left, he said "Wow, other than the gambling, how was the rest of your stay?? Maybe next time I can put you up in something nicer.....maybe something with a butler". I laughed, and then I think I threw up in my own mouth.

on off weekends, you might be surprised. some weekends the Mansion isn't full and neither are the Skylofts. it just depends on when you want to come. it's at least worth a try for your next trip.

when you go on big holiday/event weekends, they pretty much don't give promo chips anymore. they figure you're going to come anyway for the event/holiday, so they don't need to give you any. and, yes, they have to get VP approval for any promo chips these days.

my host from Aria said he could get me $1k last time i looked at staying there, but i just don't like the hotel that much and don't plan on ever staying there. at B and Skylofts, i don't really ever get promo chips anymore. if i came in some random weekend when nobody was there, i might have a chance at getting $1k from them.

have you tried calling up the customer care line at the hotel you want to stay at and giving them your dates and seeing what they can offer you? whether it works or not i guess depends on your level of play and who you get on the phone, but a lot of people without hosts have reported doing this and the hotel has given them a nice offer. and whenever the Mlife offers come out if they are better than what the hotel gave you, call back and cancel and rebook the new offer.

I wanted to go on August 2-4 and I called the Mandalay Bay where i wanted to stay.. She told me there where no offers out yet but she would hold the room at a m-life players rate which was cheaper than the regular rate.

Then she said if any offers come out they would swap out the comp room for the one i had held.. she said they do it all the time

In case anyone missed it, from M Life's Facebook page responding to questions about when the new offers would be posted:

Sunday 06/05 5:24 PM: Very soon Larry.. Check M life website next week!

Tuesday 06/07 12:46 PM: Dan they should be out soon, check mlife.com later in the week. :)

Last quarter they came out on the 10th, so even money's on that date.

This just came in and I'm really not sure how I got this and honestly think it's a mistake but I got what I think is a tier 6 offer to Bellagio in my Mlife and they also sent me an email of it as well. I hadn't been to vegas in 2 years but was out at the mirage for 2 nights in March and got about 45k tier points off of mostly table games, but I only stepped foot in Bellagio to go to "O" and only played a sex in the city slot with my fiance for about 20 minutes. Anyways they sent me this

that's tier 12

you have to have more posts before you can edit.

when you're RFB, the offer always says sold out for every date at every hotel. it's the same thing for me. before you click on "rate calendar" at the top it says "contact VIP services" to reserve your room.

So Shifter,

As far as the rate calendar goes, can you be RFB at only a few hotels if all the dates are SO? I just got back from MB, and was fully comped, express comps left untouched. But when I check the rate calendar for MB, there are no SO dates, and that is where I do my majority of playing (if not all lately). Now when I check on Aria and Mirage, I get the SO for all dates. Not anywhere else... confusion. I was at Aria last summer, didn't drop a lot of cash but was there on a marketing offer. Do they want me back, and would if be RFB? In your opinion, of course...:nworthy:

I think there is something not right with the Aria calendar. I have never been RFB - I was tier 4 for the spring offers - so I did have $300 food & beverage credit at all of the MRI hotels - but not RFB.

When I go to the Tier discounts section - it does say Please Contact Casino VIP services - for all of the hotels. However, it is only Aria that shows SO for all dates. Looks like you have to call Aria to see what they will offer you.

Its a glitch in their system. Change the check out dates right on top to a future month. It will bring up a list and a link that says veiw all offers. Click that and you are in business. I'm still waiting for more to pop up. I usually have offers from every joint in Vegas from MRI. Now I'm just looking at 3! They havent even thrown me the old Monte Carlo bone yet. But the new offers that did show us seem to be decent all comped RFB so my fingers are crossed.

I have no offers showing for Sept., But trip is being planned so I called thinking I will take whatever casino rate they offer now and wait out offers. I called Mirage and gave Player's card number and dates, they came back with 3 nights comped and 2-for-1 tix offer. So I booked.

Then I called Mandalay Bay and had same offer, and they referred to it as "corporate offer".

I also tried Aria, and had same 3 nights and tix offer. I mentioned nothing shows on-line, they said it shows up when they enter my account number, so who am I to argue.

So it appears the corporate offers apparently are in your accounts just not on-line. (Or at least that is the way it is for me.)

Apparently offers are in their system. Just called around and I'm highly disappointed with what I got offered so looks like my comped reservation in August at the flamingo is going to stay and my play will stay with CET the rest of my life. I gambled a lot at these MGM casino's and they still don't appreciate the play I give them so off I go. I might come back when I'm a high roller.

I am guessing the offers just started this week, I just booked ARIA on Tuesday and got 3 free nights Thursday July 14 - Sunday July 17. $200 Free Play and $150 F&B Credit

I called last week and they offered me $79, $139, $139 with no freeplay or F&B.

I have a Gold Card but my last trip in APRIL i upped my play to $100-$250 Blackjack from my usual $25-$50 a hand.

i'm guessing the reason the offers are not on the website yet is because the current offers don't expire until 6/30. you could still want to book an offer for next weekend or whatever and if they put up the next offers, you wouldn't see the current ones anymore.

$500 in FREEPLAY
Complimentary suite for 3 nights
$300 Food and beverage credit
2-for-1 Tickets to any MGM Resorts Show
Offer dates: 7/1/2011 - 9/30/2011

I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this. I am no high roller and this is one of the best offers I have ever received; and I have never even been in Aria. There is no offer code mentioned to give me a hint of tier level. The fine print says a daily resort fee may apply. This wasn't listed this morning when I looked.

Excalibur posted a lesser offer earlier this week:

3 Complimentary nights in a Tower Room
$100 in FREEPLAY or Promotional Chips
VIP Services check-in
Offer dates: 4/25/2011 - 8/31/2011

And this from Beau Rivage:

Complimentary airfare for 2

Hey everyone,
If I'm going twice, once in july and again in aug, more than 3 days apart, can I book my corporate offer twice and receive the freeplay twice? Anyone have experience with this?
TIA,
BNV

I have experience with this. I get offers for every MLife casino here in Vegas and use them all. Usually when I go to activate the freeplay they tell me it has already been used even though it doesn't say you can't use it more then once.

Last month when I was checked in to NYNY under a 3 free night stay and $50 in freeplay or promo chips the slot supervisor refused to put it on my account. He kept saying you can only use it once, he was very condescending and a huge prick. I told him if he didn't put it on my account I would call the Nevada gaming commission and they would make him do it.

He still refused, I called the NGC, the agent I spoke with said he was sending 2 agents down to the casino and was going to make the supervisor show him exactly where it stated that you can only use it 1 time in the quarter, he said if he can't show that then he's gonna have a problem.

Fast forward about 45 mins later, my GF and I were playing the 2 Survivor slot machines in the back by the dueling piano bars, the supervisor comes over, introduces me to the 2 gaming agents behind him, then he goes on to apologizing to me profusely, said he has put the $50 on my account and that he was just going by corporate policy. I told him he was very rude, condescending, and a total prick that should not be dealing with any customers let alone dealing with Platinum cardholders with 750,000 tier points. I further told him that to piss me off and make me call gaming over $50 was pretty pathetic and shows how he deals with customers.

Then after he ate his full meal of crow with a side of embarrassment, the gaming agents asked me if I was satisfied with that and if there was anything else they could do for me. I told them no and thanked them.

I forgot to add, I still haven't received my 3rd quarter offers that cover July, August and September.

I am thinking that MLife must have added more Tiers for their summer offers. I was tier 4 for the spring corporate offer - and had the exact same offer for all of their hotels. Most of the offers showed a code that ended with 4.

Now for the summer corporate offer - I still have all of the hotels with all of them having the same offer - except for Aria and Bellagio (only 2 for 1 tickets) and it looks like I am tier 7. The following is my Mandalay Bay offer. The others are the same - but with different offer codes. Most of them end with 7 - although the NYNY one is still showing 4 (DB13Q04AS) and Aria has no offer code.

500 in FREEPLAY
Complimentary suite for 3 nights
$300 Food and beverage credit
2 Complimentary tickets to any MGM Resorts Show
OFFER CODE: CCRP07C

So the reason I am thinking that they have added more tiers - is that even though my summer corp offers appear to be tier 7 - they have added $100 more in freeplay than my spring offer and other than Aria and Bellagio the tickets to MGM Resorts shows are 2 complimentary rather than the 2 for 1 that they all had with my spring offer. So my offers went up - but my tier went down.

I really don't care what tier they call it - I am just happy with what I get - since I am going to play anyway - might as well get what I can for it. :wink2:

The offer seems to be the same for each MGM/Mirage property for me. I'm platinum level with them, but then they told me that half the M-Life players are platinum level due to the way they converted all of us over to M-Life so for now that doesn't seem to be worth much and is likely why the perks are so low compared to platinum level with Grazie or Cosmopolitan.

I'll likely take them up on it the end of August since I would rather participate in the Bellagio 250k All Stars Slot Tournament in July.

I had $85 straight up on #17, and $30 split #17-#20. so #17 hits and I figure it'll be a little under $3,500. They tried to give me $1,735 for a while, then got the pit boss and tried to give me $2,750 or something like that. Finally they paid me $50 too little.
