I thought this had been posted and I tried to find it, but no luck.

Where are good places to get gas on the way back the rental car place. If somebody has good ideas and maybe a map, it could be posted as part of the Rental Car sticky.

If we're staying South Strip, we just drive south on LVBlvd to get back to the rental center - there's a gas station just after Bali Hai golf course (or just before? It's on the right, in any event....)

Gas stations: http://maps.google.com/maps?near=7135+Gilespie+St,+Las+Vegas,+NV+89119-4267+(McCarran+Rental+Car+Center)&geocode=CTxlm7bTpD0sFYxBJgId7L4i-SG_eiPIGx-LZQ&q=gas+station&f=l&dq=rental+car+facility+loc:+las+vegas+nv&sll=36.095327,-115.157025&sspn=0.083986,0.038786&ie=UTF8&hq=gas+station&hnear=&ll=36.064087,-115.157661&spn=0.086034,0.181103&z=13

Terrible Herbst is the one we go to, 6176 LV Blvd

Returning a car from a downtown stay, I always gas up at the station on Main Street, just south of The Plaza. Then continue to Paradise Rd to the airport and hop on the 215 W for the last mile. Avoids the Freeway for the most part and takes 25 minutes.

I'm assuming you're taking the car back to the rental center and taking a shuttle to the airport.

Terrible Herbst at: 7310 Las Vegas Blvd S. This is the corner of LV Blvd and Warm Springs Rd (Vegas outlet center). Exit the gas station onto Warm Springs and you are 1 stop light and 3 blocks from the rental center.

If between downtown and Flamingo I'd take the freeway (15) to Blue Diamond and then North on LV Blvd to Warm Springs.

Thanks everyone. Yes, coming down the strip makes the most sense, then turning into the rental center.

In the past, we of course headed into the airport main entrance, but not anymore with the new facility.

I always gas up at the station on Main Street, just south of The Plaza.

I was there in August, it seems to me that the little place just South of The Plaza on the other side of Main Street is gone.

I gas up at the station (don't remember the name) that's on the strip across the street from MaBay.

Since the new rental facility opened I buy gas at Terribles on the Southeast corner of Warm Springs/LasVegasBlvd or at a station ( I think it's a Sinclair) on the Northeast corner of WarmSprings/Gilespie which is basically right across the street from the rental facility.

The RACC is located at 7135 Gilespie St, Las Vegas, NV 89136, which is just off Las Vegas Blvd and the 215 highway. There are gas stations located at the intersection LV Blvd and E. Warm Springs Rd, and several more down E. Warm Springs Rd. These are good to know so you can top off your rental before returning

In case you have not noticed it in other threads, make sure to keep your receipt after the gas purchase. Other posters have stated that some rental companies are checking. However, during my last trip Dollar did not check.

Across the street from Terribles Casino there is a convenient station to gas up(can't remember the name). It's right on the way to the airport. There is also a Shell and 7 ELEVEN right before and after the LV Hilton for those who want to price shop.
