I've only been to Vegas in the Summer. This time we are arriving March 23. Should we even bother packing shorts? Is there a need for a jacket? Long or short sleeve shirts? Thanks

Check the weather forecast before you leave to help finalize (I have NO idea what it's been like so far there) Last year, we were out for St Patrick's Day and it was warm & sunny during the day--I could wear short sleeves, was too warm with my sweater on...At night, definitely need a jacket. As for shorts, whether or not to pack depends on your tolerance for cold or hot. If it's going to be 70s (even low 70s) and sunny, I'm all over shorts! Have fun! Worst case scenario--if you get unbearably hot or cold for what you've packed, you can go outlet shopping :D

We will be arriving on the 24th, we've checked the weather and it's supposed to be mid 60's to 70 during the day and mid 40's to 50 at night. You can go to www.weather.com (http://www.weather.com) and put in "Las Vegas" and gives you like the next ten days forecasts. We are planning on packing shorts and jeans, but I guess it depends on where you're from and your definition of "shorts weather".

Yep, it's all relative...I was there a couple of weeks ago, and thought it was pretty chilly, but then someone from Canada said they were there at the same time, and it was beautiful! hahahaha!

What part of Texas do you guys live in? The really Really hot part, or just the hot part? :D My brother lives in Austin, which I thought was a spectacular city.

We live in Santa Barbara, CA, and the weather here is pretty mild...usually low to mid 70's... anything more than seven or eight degrees to either side of 70, and I am out of my comfort zone!

Hope you guys have a great trip! What's the one thing you are most looking forward to?

T.

We live right outside of Dallas. I don't know what we would do here if it stayed within 7-8 degrees either side of 70! (I think they call that winter here! hahaha!) The weather here has been about the same as in Las Vegas, but it seems cooler because it's been raining for the past three days. :( (Sunday can't come soon enough!)

I know Billy's told everyone he's going skydiving-that's the one thing he's most excited about. As for me, it would probably have to be seeing Chicago Sunday night at the Stardust. Everyone who knows me knows that where ever and when ever I get the chance to see them, I'm there. As a matter of fact, they are playing in Dallas next Friday night (the day after we get back) and I'm thinking about going then too - depends on how kind Vegas is to us this trip! tongue.gif

Hey Tex! Native San Antonian here. Of course, I've been living in Boston for the past 5 years. Anyhow, we were in Vegas last week. I felt that most days when it was sunny, I was fine in jeans and a t-shirt. Some days it was overcast and I put on a light sweater over my t-shirt. I usually wore the sweater at night b/c it was a little chilly. I say the mid-range wardrobe is the best bet. I think shorts and tanks/short-sleeves would've not been enough, but jeans and a winter sweater would've been too much. I thought it was comparable to Oct./Nov. weather in San Antonio. High 60s/Low 70s during the day and a comfortable 50s at night.

Thanks for the comparison. That helps! We are probably going to do the short thing during the day and pants/jeans at night! But not to worry, I will bring enough pants just in case the days are a little too chilly for shorts!

If nothing else, we can always casino hop in the taxis instead of walking!
