First Vegas trip coming up!

Hello all! I have been lurking for a while and finally decided to post as my vacation is slowly creeping up! One of my best girlfriends and I are headed to Vegas the first week of June for the first time (I'm 26 and she's 27) and staying at the MGM (her decision due to all we've heard about the pool). I am very excited and can't wait to have a fantastic time! I have been teaching myself JOB video poker online and I have had some luck at the slots on cruise ships in the past----any recommendations for some fun for 2 girls in sin city? We'll be there for 5 days...and are totally going to the wax museum, "O" and the pinball hall of fame :beer:

Awesome, you will have a wonderful time. We will actually be there the first week in June as well and also staying at the MGM, due to the pool so will probably run into at some point.
What night are you going to O, we are going May 31 so don't know if you are in town yet.
Anyway, things to do, always depends on what you are looking for. Hip trendy places, low key spots, budget, give a little more details and can hopefully give you some great recommendations.
We love the pool and just walking the strip drinking and gambling in the morning and early afternoons. Then we get ready for dinner with some more drinks in the room, hit a dinner spot, throw in a little gambling and then a club or lounge. That is just kind of our schedule.

Don't know when we're going to see "O", our travel agent is in the process of getting everything together for us...we prob would do a mix of fun crazy nights and some low-key (my friend is much more of a party animal than I am...my liver isn't as strong as it used to be in college!)...I have also heard great things about the restaurants on the strip---so much to do, I will definitely have to pick and choose

Welcome aboard Kris! Great choices for your first trip. So much to see and do but when you don't feel like heading out MGM has some great dinning and clubs you can hit up. Have a great trip! :thumbsup:

We will be there the week before. We are not into the pools, but a couple of good trendy spots are the Palms (have had some good luck gambling there in the past) and the Hard Rock is pretty cool also. A good place to eat (but looks like a hole in the wall) is Ellis Island. Ask for the $6.95 steack special. It is not on the menu but alway available for dinner.

i will be out there the first week of june as well.
i have seen O, i really liked it. parts are a little slow but great music and just beautiful to watch IMO
once you know more about vegas you need to ditch that trav agent and do it yourself. you find better deals and save money.

Welcome to the boards!!! You and your friend will have a blast! My first trip to Vegas a gazillion years ago was with my best friend; we were 21. Thus began a lifelong addiction and frequent trips!:o
