Ive visited the Flamingo, Harrahs, Paris, Rio lounges. Although they are all supposed to be the same, they aren't.

Flamingo - still have carrots and celery sticks, The others did not. They wouldn't turn the volume up on the football game even know everyone in there wanted it.

Harrahs - seems more like a cafeteria to me.

Paris - Very nice decor as this was once a bar/restaurant. The bucket of bottled waters is nice to just go in and grab a few. Only one computer to use.

Rio - have to take an elevator to get there, annoying.

I always liked the Paris DL best but, yes, they do only have one computer which can be inconvenient when that is the reason you went in.

I have found when I want to use a computer that Caesars or Rio is best. I like Rio because their computers (2) are more private and you can print out what you need yourself. Rio has never been crowded in the computer room when I have used it. There is no time limit. Just don't be hoggish if someone is waiting.
At Caesars there are several (5, I think)but when you print something you have to pick it up outside from the attendant. They have a time limit of 10 minutes - they are almost always busy.

For TV watching, Caesars is good. They have a comfy sitting area for TV watching if you can get a place. Their food offerings are okay - not great. They do have good service. The eating area at Caesars looks like a high school cafeteria.

You used to get good drinks at the DL lounges, but now they are mostly watered down or low quality booze.

I haven't tried Rio yet, but we did a run last time:

Flamingo is a bit depressing and cramped.

Paris is overcrowded, but the bar service was good.

Harrah's was larger, and the bartenders were very good and fun to talk to.

Caesars had the nicest decor, responsive service and some good food.

Now that there is talk about them starting to charge people in AC for Diamond Lounge access, I'm not that disappointed that my Diamond status is expiring in March...

Oh man! The moment I make Diamond level they start charging to use the lounge. Aaargh! Anyone know if there are plans to spread this concept to other casinos... like Vegas?

Also, being brand new to the Diamond world (I earned it while at Harrah's Rincon San Diego last weekend) do all the Vegas Diamond Lounges offer free cocktails? And, if so... if I bring my girlfriend, do we BOTH get in...and get the free grub and booze?

I can't imagine you have to enter the lounge alone if you've taken a non-diamond guest to Vegas.

Yes, all Vegas locations serve free booze (and hot food only at a specified time). You may bring in one guest.

I think the drinks taste awful at the Paris lounge. The Harrah's one is my favorite--big & good drinks.

Their are two computers at the Flamingo + a printer.
I do not understand why everyone is bitching about the
Diamond lounges. Hell, Free is Free.

I was in AC 2 weeks ago, and the reason I was told for
the charges is bcause of all the locals. On a Sunday morning,
they were lined up 45 minutes before the place opened at
Caesars. Damn, It's only a free drink!! You can get one while
you are playing a penny slot!!!

Just one mans opinion - and everyone has one!!!

I just left Paris diamond lounge and the bucket filled with water is gone....I asked the server for a bottle of water and he told me Harrahs has decided to get rid of bottle water and I would have to get a glass of tap water...Unreal no more water in the desert..Harrahs has been cutting back more and more but water COME ON.. I have recently achieved gold status at Venitian/Palazzo which is like diamond...I get great suites comped and bottle evian water in the gold lounge...After being diamond ever since it started I am done...All Harrahs property are showing there age and the water was the fine straw.

Wow, that's pretty amazing: it was always nice at valet to get a bottle of water for the road, especially in the desert dryness and heat. I agree that it's an odd amenity to cut back on. Perhaps if they didn't send me a postcard everyday they could afford some water.

Last year I stayed at Caesars and really liked the DL. Fun bartenders and at one time I got 5 guests in with no problems. Didn't even charge me TR credits. I play in AC alot and the Diamond at Caesars wasn't charging for entry last week.

Without a doubt Caesars & Paris have the best diamond lounges in vegas - although as someone else mentioned the one at Paris does get quite busy on weekends and Holidays - not uncommon to have to wait. The Caesars location is back in the Augustus towers, a couple of minutes from the casino - lot's of tv's if you want to watch sports.

The 2 main bartenders at paris - Sal & Freddy make incredible Martini's and specialty drinks - absolutely awesome!

The food at all of the clubs has gone down hill a lot. Usually just hors d'oeuvres and chicken wings and dessert. Sometimes you can catch a special dish and/or dessert. I do like the fact they leave out cold-cut sandwiches often if you just want a quick snack.

The club at Harrahs would come in third - it is on the second level just up & off the escalators.

I have been to a couple of good regional diamond lounges - the ones that stick out are Phoenix (Ak-Chin), Laughlin (Great View From Balcony), Joliet Illinois (Full buffet meal for free but have to pay for alcoholic drinks in Illinois), and at the Horseshoe in Hammond Ill.

couple of other nice things though:

- Free ATM at the Flamingo lounge
- Free Computer Usage at most lounges
- Free bottles of water - nice to order 2 at a time and take to the room for later if needed
