Headed to the Paris on Monday -- we'll do most of our gambling at the Harrah's properties, and by Vegas standards, I'm sure we're pretty low rollers. Our bankroll for 3.5 days is about $1500. We don't chase comps, but will it be worth it to ask for a host at the end of the stay to see what can be done with our bill?

We charge all our food and entertainment to our room (room is comped --we are TR members and are getting decent offers regularly).

I've never asked for a host and am a little nervous about it. Should I be? My feeling is the worst that can happen is that they can't comp anything and then laugh as we walk away...

Ask away.

Here's the deal.

Your RC's will be used up first, then they will start looking at what they can comp.

At Harrahs/Caesars props you can play at any of their casinos, and it will count toward comps. This also adds to your ADT for Vegas play. You do not have to play just at Paris. As long as you play at least 4 hours a day in any of the H/C casinos while you are in town, you will probably get some comps. (You can play 1 hour at 4 different casinos. As long as it adds up to 4 hours each day.) How much they will comp you depends on how much you play, of course, but a good host will bend the rules a little and give you a little more if you are a regular visitor to Vegas.

I talked with my host at Harrahs on my last visit in June and that's how she explained it to me. So...
don't be afraid to ask. You just never know what you might get.

Another thing - you should get most of your play(if not all) on the person's card that your reservation is in.

Go ahead and ask and let me know how it goes. I have asked about one at the Rio and over the phone. The response I got was...If we think you need one, we will seek YOU out. Snobby both times. They will take my points off my bill as they should, but " they", host on phone, Total Rewards desk, Host at the VIP desk wouldn't even look at my account to see if I warranted one. I racked up 3600 tier pts in 5 days in April. Hopefully, they will at least take the time to look at your account.
