Which hotel??

Hi! Planning my second trip to the City of Lights for my 3rd anniversary. That's in June so it's a ways off, but I'm so excited that I'm already gathering info! ;)
Hubby and I were there last February and stayed at Caesar's Palace (great place)! This visit we want to stay somewhere else and my first choice is the Venetian, and hopefully they will be running some specials. If not, I would like suggestions on back-ups. I'm not interested in Circus Circus, IP, Excalibur, or NYNY, or Bellagio....(actually hubby doesn't want to stay there. Pool areas don't matter to us, and we want to stay on the Strip.
Oh yeah... I want to join some slot clubs this time...any suggestions on the best hotels do that in (meaning the best hotels who are most generous with their comps for small rollers)?

What's your price range?

I really liked Mandalay Bay, but it's pretty far down the strip if you're walking.

Monte Carlo is nice for the price.

Have you considered Aladdin, Mirage, Treasure Island, Paris?

venetian has good comp for slot players- the 1st $20 you play on the slots, they comp you $10 bucks! not bad! you can go to any machine and press a button and it downloads $10 credit to the machine! i would also recommend the venetian to stay as well. great location and awesome rooms. we were there in late november and stayed for $79 a night. we found a deal on www.travelzoo.com (http://www.travelzoo.com) for that rate. they have lots of deals. give them a try.
