First - I'm glad everyone from March Madness made it alive, well, and, as a bonus, stayed out of trouble!!! I was thinking of you.....one day, I will make it to one of these gatherings, if only for the poker tourney...hmmmm, then you'll see how poker's REALLY played!!! LOL!!!!
But some questions - specifically about downtown....
What changes should will we see??
Did anyone visit the Goldiggers bar at Golden Nugget?? What was it like?
Are there any noticeable changes to Binion's??? I saw on the other thread that the coffee shop is closed for repairs? Is that true? And how long?
Anything else we should keep an eye out for? I hope you guys weren't THAT drunk that you didn't see anything going on!!!!! LOL!!!

Nutt,
We were just about to go to check out Goldiggers, and we decided on Hogs and Heifers instead. I did see it from out on Fremont, and it looked cool.

Oh, there were plenty of suck-outs even without you, PN. :peace:
Downtown - lots of changes. Don already detailed the Plaza changes, if you haven't been there in a year I'd say go check it out. New bars, new lounge/stage, rehabbed bathrooms, etc.
Vegas Club is getting some sort of show in the back - they had what looked like a half-pipe set up in the area where the sports book used to be.
There are new bars (well new in last two years) everywhere. Didn't get up to Gold Diggers, but the Fitz spruced up their balcony and put in a new bar near it.
Binions is going to get significant changes over the next 6-12 months, not sure what all but Dougie already discussed them moving the poker room.
The El Co continues to get made over, as they've re-done the porte cochere area, plus made a palm-lined entrance out of an alley across the street. New signage, new tiered slot club (not so happy about that). Seemed like a smaller table games pit tho.
And East Fremont down to the El Co is way, way cleaner than it's ever been. Significant security presence down there now along with the new neons in the middle of the street, and the Griffon and Beauty Bar on the south side of Fremont.
