What a terrible weekend for the Goose, I went 0 wins, 1 tie, and 3 Losses for Saturdays picks. I honestly thought I was a lock, things looked good after winning that "Whim" pick on Thursday night with Miami but all was lost on the opening kickoff of Saturday morning.

My picks if you remember:

Penn State -3 (Lost)
Purdue -14 (Lost
Wisconsin -8 (Lost)
Washington +7 (Lost)

My boys from Penn State, what can I say, They looked like crap. After the game, all you hear is "what an Upset" and "Is Michigan for real". Let me just say this, Michigan winning that game is not AN UPSET!!!! That is typical Big 10 Football. Anyone who follows the Big Ten knows that that happens all the time when they play within the conference. There is know way that any Big 10 Team will make it to the big game, the only thing that they are playing for is the Big 10 Championship, that's it, that's all that matters. If you look back within the past 10 years and see how hard the Big 10 teams play eachother, regardless of rankings, and you will see why I say the PSU/UM game was not an upset. I'm not upset that my boys lost, I can actually say that I saw it comming and I will go so far as to say that Ohio State along with Wisconsin will get a loss this year, and they will be by Big 10 Teams. Put it on Paper...

As for my other games in my parlay, Purdue should have covered the spread, powerful offense that puts up points, but they fell short on the cover, it happens.

Wisconsin, Looked like crap and in my opinion should have lost that game, hence why I say they will lose one to a Big 10 team.

As for Washington, Guess UCLA was a little Pissed at the loss last week.

So now, where do we stand? As it stands right now, the Goose's record is:

6 - wins
1 - tie
7 - losses

6 - 1 - 7.....Hell, that looks like I'm betting the horses again on a trifecta. Sure do need to come through with a big week this comming week.

Stay tuned for my picks for this weekend, until then....

Good luck and Good betting

Don't want to rub salt in your wounds, but I had a *great* weekend at the book.

I went 5-1-1 on my college picks on Saturday (I posted them over at my site late Friday night) and also went 3-0-1 on my NFL picks.

Here's the quick and dirty:

NCAA--

Illinois -2.5 over Indiana WIN

Penn State -2.5 over Michigan LOSE

Cal -14 over Arizona WIN

ASU -12 over Oregon State PUSH

UCLA -6.5 over Washington WIN

Michigan State -11 over Notre Dame WIN

South Carolina +18 over LSU WIN

I still made a few bucks, but had Penn State actually pulled their head out of their collective asses, I would've been up over $600 for the weekend...

And as far as the NFL goes, I had:

Indy -6 over Houston PUSH

New England -16 over Buffalo WIN

Packers +5 over Chargers (I was telling anyone who would listen that the Pack would win this game outright--there is something *very* wrong with San Diego this year...) WIN

Steelers -9 over San Fran WIN

I was also going to get a bet in on the Cowboys for the night game but completely spaced it...

It was nice to able to go back to the book and actually cash some good tickets last night.

In my NFL picks I went 3 - 1 - 1

Parlay:
Cincy - Push
Cleveland - Win
Carolina - Win
Washington - Loss

Straight up bet:
Dallas - Win

The Dallas win covered my losses for the Parlay, just can't seem to get the Parlay going. Then again, there is this week commin up.

Until then....You know the motto.

Goose out and headed for bed.

Yeah, Norv Turner.

Marty Ball doesn't look so bad anymore does it Charger fans? :poke:

I'm sure LT would agree. :evillaugh

Having seen what Turner was doing in Washington... they're *still* trying to get over his legacy.

2-3 on my NFL picks. Shut out on college this week. Dammit. As far as NFL games, this is the 3rd week the books have consistently underestimated the over/under lines. "Over" has turned into a pretty safe bet, especially since I learned that "under" is sort of like playing the dark side in craps. It's no fun to root for teams to not score.

College is killing me this year. I'm now 4-8-0 on the year (that's 4 wins, 8 losses, 0 ties). Personal preference maybe, but ties should be listed after losses. I went 3-1-1 on the NFL which helped.

San Fran +10 (lost)
Minnesota +3 (tie)
Carolina -4 (win)
Arizona +7.5 (win)
Dallas +3 (win)

If Norv runs the table & finishes 14-2, will they fire him as well? :evillaugh
